Last month when Acer released the Iconia Tab A200, they promised that it will get the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in February. And staying true to that promise, the ICS update has now started rolling out to the device.

In case you are not quite aware of the A200, it is Acer’s latest tablet and comes with a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 resolution display, Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, 8/16GB internal memory, dual cameras, stereo speakers and a microSD card slot. Apple is adjusting the prices it’s charging advertisers to use its ad program, iAd. This is the third such price cut since the program’s inception in 2010.

The new minimum price for an ad campaign on iOS is now $100,000, down from $500,000. That is a significant reduction from its debut price of a cool $1 million. Read more »

Android has been being available for tablets for a long time now, but it never really succeed in letting you do multiple things at once as you would on a proper computer. With CyanogenMod 9, though, multitasking could get a lot more easier and intuitive thanks to an application called Cornerstone.

Created by the developers at Onskreen, Cornerstone is quite a simple way of working with up to three different apps visible on the screen. And if everything goes well, we can expect to see it in the future release of CyanogenMod 9. Read more »

Samsung may still be mum on the Galaxy W for the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich update, but the dev community is already making progress on it. We just got a video of CM9-based Android ICS running on the mid-range droid and the future looks brighter for its owners.

The ROM is still in the very early stages of its development and we don’t even know if all of the hardware is operational. The public beta is said to be on its way, so we’ll find out soon enough. Read more »

The Google+ app for iOS has always been (understandably) behind the curve compared to its Android counterpart, with some of the features appearing a bit later. The latest feature to trickle down from the Android app is Instant Upload.

As some of you may know, Instant Upload uploads the pictures you take with the camera on your phone and uploads it to a private folder in your Google+ account. It’s actually a neat way to back up your images on an Android phone but with Photo Stream in iCloud, iOS users might not be in any real need of this feature. Read more »

Despite looking just as imposing as its global sibling, the LTE packing Samsung Galaxy Note I717 for AT&T certainly is a different character from the international N7000. For starters, the U.S. bound phoneblet has gone through the same treatment as its local cousins from the Galaxy S II family, which includes having four touch-sensitive buttons at its front, instead of the three button configuration with a hardware button at the center of the global version. The AT&T Galaxy Note has also ditched the mighty Exynos chipset for Qualcomm-made silicon instead.

Like I mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy Note for AT&T features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 chipset with two Scorpion cores, clocked at 1.5GHz. The GPU is Adreno 220. Read more »

Yep, the game which is literally available on almost any device on the planet, be it mobile or not, is now available on Facebook, too. The only surprise here is what took Rovio so long?

As it turns out, the Facebook version of the game is much more sophisticated and feature-rich than its Google+ cousin, which was launched back in the summer of last year. Angry Birds on Facebook runs on Adobe Flash 11 and supports 3D graphics, which put your computer through its paces rendering the cool lighting, smoke and explosion effects the game boasts. Fill this in under unlikely, but we just heard that an 8″ iPad might be happening soon. According to Wall Street Journal’s sources the company is in the advanced stages of testing a smaller version of its wildly popular slate.

The 8″ iPad is said to have the same resolution as the iPad 2, namely 1024 x 768 pixels. That information was reportedly confirmed by two of Apple’s suppliers, who delivered the panels for testing purposes. Read more »
