With its shares’ price going past the $660 mark today, Apple reached a market capitalization of over $620 billion, thus becoming the most valuable company ever. The Cupertino based behemoth has taken the title from its rival Microsoft, which at one point was valued at $618.9 billion.

With the next generation iPhone and another iPad model lurking around the corner, we can reasonably expect Apple’s market capitalization to reach even bigger heights. Read more »

According to its creators, what you see below is what the new iPhone 5 will look like. The beautifully looking render is made with a few reasonable points in mind. It has the same screen resolution as the iPhone 4/4S to save iOS some effort, a thinner body and a smaller connector.

Now judging by all those rumors, it’s all but guaranteed that the new iPhone will have a larger 16:9 screen, so chances are the guys from 3d-desk didn’t get it quite right. However you can’t deny that this is what the iPhone 4S should have looked like. Read more »

Supercars aren’t known with their high usability and the new Audi R8 e-tron is a breathing proof of this. The car doesn’t have a back window and to fix the issue Audi has fitted it with a rear-view camera which works in conjunction with a 7.7-inch AMOLED rear-view mirror.

Naturally, the display will be supplied by Samsung Display and we assume it will be the same unit used in the Galaxy Tab 7.7 slate. Audi says it preferred the AMOLED display for its thinness and power efficiency compared to regular LCDs. Read more »

After investigating complaints from its users getting crazy amounts of spam, Dropbox has announced that emails and passwords stolen from third-party websites have been used to hack into existing Dropbox accounts.

One of the breachеd accounts is a Dropbox employee’s and it happened to contain some project files with a number of Dropbox client email addresses. Hence the spam spree. Read more »

Windows 8 is coming in the end of October and to ensure its adoption goes as smooth as possible, Microsoft has announced the new Wedge Mobile Keyboard and Wedge Touch Mouse.

Microsoft has published its revenue reports for the Q2 and full-year 2012 (its fiscal year begins July 1) and it turns out this was one of the best fiscal years for the software giant.

With revenue of $73.72 billion and $18.06 billion for the full 2012 fiscal year and Q2 respectively, Microsoft is looking forward to Windows Phone 8 and its desktop brethren with a unmatched levels of optimism. Read more »

The Apple vs. Samsung war going on in courts all over the world saw a rather interesting turn of events yesterday.

UK judge Birss ordered Apple to put out advertisements in various newspapers and magazines stating that Samsung “did not copy iPad”. Additionally, Apple has to post a notice on its website for at least six months stating the above. Read more »

The Krait powered Qualcomm S4 chipsets are great, right? They give you the best per-core performance of any architecture out there and have the best power efficiency thanks to that 28nm manufacturing process. The only problem is that Krait-powered chipsets are only available in dual-core flavor for now, while competing solutions give you twice that.

It seems as though that this might change sooner than you think, as Qualcomm have just previewed their first S4 Pro chipset (the MSM8960 belonged to the lower-standing S4 Plus series). We think you’ll all agree that currently existing car headlights are really bad when faced with heavy rain or snow. The light they emit gets reflected from raindrops and snow flakes and obstruct a clear view of the road.

What if we told you that there is already a solution to this problem thanks to the latest invention by some Carnegie Mellon scientists. This should hardly catch anyone by surprise, given the fact that Sony’s acquisition of Ericsson’s stake in their joint venture took place a few months back. The newly formed Sony Mobile with move its headquarters from Lund, Sweden, closer to the center of everything Sony in Tokyo, Japan.
