Temple Run 2 goes live for iOS, New Zealand gets it first

Imangi Studios and Fuzzycube Software have released the sequel to their popular Temple Run game.

Pulse app adds support for Flickr, Instagram, Tumblr and YouTube

Popular news aggregator application Pulse got updated yesterday, which brings with it the addition of some new services.

Flipboard for Android updated with support for Daydream

Some of you may already know about the new Daydream feature in Android 4.2. For those who don’t, Daydream allows the application to display information on the screen when the device is is idle or docked. Think of it as being the equivalent of the screensaver that we still see on desktop computers. Developers can use this functionality to display relevant information on the screen in an easy to see manner.

The developers of Flipboard have decided to take advantage of this functionality in the latest update to their app. Once enabled, Flipboard will show new items full screen from the feeds you have subscribed to. Read more »

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update starts rolling out to Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and 7.0 in the US

After pushing the update to the European version of the Galaxy Tab 2, Samsung has now begun rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the US version as well.

According to Android Police, both the 10.1-inch as well as the 7.0-inch models are now receiving the 4.1.1 update, over the air as well as through the Samsung Kies application. Read more »

Dropbox for Android gets an update

Popular file storage and sharing service Dropbox just updated the Android version of their application, which brings with it some useful new features.

Two of the important new features are the ability to share as well delete multiple files at once. But either there is some bug or I’m missing something here, because I can’t for the life of me find any option to mark multiple files at once. Read more »

Nokia Xpress Browser servers found to decrypt HTTPS traffic, an update issued

Nokia’s Xpress Browser is the default web browser on the Nokia’s Asha lineup and it’s also an optional download for the Lumia phones, running on Windows Phone. Nokia prides on the capabilities of the web browser to compress data and reduce traffic.

To accomplish this Nokia servers process and compress all data to and from the mobile device. But has it occurred to you that in the process Nokia’s servers are also decrypting the information sent over the allegedly secure HTTPS protocol, which you may have thought no one has access to. Nokia does not refuse that, but claims you shouldn’t worry, as nothing is recorded. But can we trust it? Read more »

Swype beta for Android now available without registration

The iOS 6 Do Not Disturb feature fixes itself [UPDATE: Still not working]

The iOS 6 DND feature is working again, just as Apple promised a few days ago. There was no update, though – the Do Not Disturb mode just fixed itself.

UPDATE: As it turned out, despite the DND mode now turns on and off as scheduled, it doesn’t work and you will continue to receive all notifications. Now Apple need to release an update and the next time should do more tests before coming up with an official statement. Read more »

Apple promises to fix Do Not Disturb feature by January 7
