Apple promises to fix Do Not Disturb feature by January 7

The iOS 6 Do Not Disturb mode stopped working properly at the turn of the year. The same day Apple decided to launch a new iPhone 5 ad focused exactly on the cool DND service.

The jokes are about to stop on January 7 though, when an update will arrive to take care of the bug.

Among the tons of post on Apple’s Support forums, you can find the official statement on the matter.

“Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013. Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off.

To turn off the scheduling feature, tap Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb and switch Scheduled to Off.”

Most probably Apple is going to launch the iOS 6.0.3 update on January 7. Phew!
