The award-winning photo sharing and editing application Snapseed has made its way to the Google Play store. The already wildly popular for iOS app also dropped its price from $4.99 to free for all Apple products.

Rockstar has released the 10th Anniversary Edition of their popular Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game on iOS and Android. The game is available on the App Store and Google Play for $4.99.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for mobile is the exact same game that you may have enjoyed ten years ago on a console or a PC. The graphics have been updated with today’s mobile devices in mind, which means the game you will be playing today will be running at a higher resolution compared to what it did on the PS2 all those years ago. Google releases completely revamped v2.0 of Gmail app for iOS

The previous Gmail app for iOS is the most famous Google-made app for iOS, but for all the wrong reasons. Although a lot of people did use it because it included support for push mail that the native iOS client lacks for Gmail, it was nothing more than a wrapper for the mobile web version of the service, which rubbed people the wrong way.

Enter v2.0. Google has revamped the Gmail client for iOS, which has reportedly been in works since the past six months. The new client looks nothing like the old one and is more in line with other recent iOS apps released by Google, such as Google+, Google Search, Google Drive and YouTube. Gone is the web-UI like design of the previous version, replaced by a clean, minimalist and spacious design. Read more »

Chrome’s popularity on Android grows, iOS users show it no love

Google has such a huge presence on the web that it was only logical for it to make its own browser – and Chrome was born. Recently, Chrome has been expanding its reach to mobile territory but growth has been slowed by its requirements – unlike the stock Android browser, Chrome runs only on Android 4.0 and above (and 2.3 Gingerbread still holds over half the market).

According to Net Marketshare‘s numbers, Chrome is the browser of choice on 4.03% of Android devices. Those Nexus devices that come with Chrome only probably helped push the numbers up. Read more »

‘Predators’ for Android game review

Predators is a hack and slash action game based on the movie that came out back in 2010. It’s not a particularly new game, though, because the iOS version came out back in 2010 along with the movie.

As it often happens in the mobile world, the Android version is late, more than two years late this time. Still, it’s finally here and since the iOS version of the game was well received back when it came out we decided to take the Android version for a spin and see how it fares. Read more »

Photo Sync for Facebook is out on Android and iOS

Facebook Photo Sync feature is now available to the Android and iOS client apps. If you used them just recently you should have already got a notification about the new extra.

iPad accounted for 71% of tablet sales in China last quarter

The new iPad and iPad mini, announced in Q3 of this year, haven’t even launched in China but Apple is still dominating the tablet market there. According to the statistics every 3 out of 4 tablets sold there as being made by Apple.

This bodes well for Apple in China – particularly for its tablet division – where year-on-year sales of tablets have increased by more than 60%. Read more »

New Skype for iOS lands in the Apple App Store, adds Microsoft account support

A new Skype 4.2 version is now available in the Apple’s App Store for all the iPhones, iPads and iPods Touch running on iOS 4.3 or later.
