Cut the Rope started a trend of several casual games where the objective is to collect three items scattered throughout the level while solving puzzles or dodging obstacles. The latest game to use this formula is TripTrap, which features a mouse and your objective is to collect the pieces of cheese placed strategically around a maze.
Although one might think the formula has become old now, in the end it all depends upon the execution and TripTrap does seem to have some new gameplay mechanics. So let’s take a look and see how this new game is. Read more »

Few days ago we talked about the SwiftKey Note app for iOS, which was leaked on Twitter. Now the app has been officially unveiled and is available for download for free on the iPhone and iPad.
SwiftKey Note is a simple note-taking app for your iOS device. But where it differs from other note-taking app is that it has its own custom keyboard, that uses the same algorithm as the SwiftKey keyboard on Android. This means you will get the same telepathic level of prediction and almost always accurate auto-correct system at your fingertips. Read more »
Facebook unveiled its own news delivering app called Paper. It’s a minimalist app that’s heavy on eye candy and is mostly swipe-operated. It’s also quite immersive by bringing a full-screen clutter-free interface.
Instead of bringing you your news feed the app will let you chose from a list of curated genres – photography, design, sports, food and science. Big names in said categories will get their fair share of showing off but Facebook also promises to shine a light on emerging voices, letting you subscribe to their feeds as well. Read more »
Microsoft seems to have really bad luck with its SkyDrive cloud service. First a UK court ruled out Microsoft is infringing British Sky Broadcasting Group trademark last summer and Microsoft has agreed to change the name.

Carmageddon was one of the earliest racing games I ever played and certainly the goriest. The classic has been available on mobiles (iOS and Android) for a while now, but if you didn’t want to pay $2 for a hit of nostalgia then now is your chance – the game is temporarily free.
The offer is available for both platforms too, on iOS it’s part of App of the day. Read more »
It seems popular keyboard maker for Android SwiftKey is working on an iOS version. But because of the way iOS works, you can’t have a universal custom keyboard outside of a particular app so now it seems we are getting SwiftKey Note.
SwiftKey Note seems like a note taking app along the lines of the Fleksy keyboard app. Basically, this app will let you type whatever you want using the custom SwiftKey keyboard and all the features its known for and then you can copy paste the text in any other app. This is an extremely roundabout way of doing things, which probably explains why keyboard apps haven’t taken off on iOS but it seems SwiftKey is trying to make do with what they have. Disney has made Where’s My Mickey? free on iOS for a limited time. The game has been free on Windows Phone along with a few other Disney games for a while now but this is the first time it has gone free on iOS.
Where’s My Mickey? is quite similar to Where’s My Water? and Where’s My Perry? but features Disney’s iconic character Mickey Mouse instead. There are also some amusing short animation clips between levels that set this game apart from the other two. We reviewed this game back when it was released and found it to be quite entertaining. Munster consensus numbers indicate that Apple could have moved 24-25 million iPad units in Q4 2013. These numbers gain more credence when you consider that Fortune magazine echoed pretty much the same figures.
Many analysts believe that Apple could have sold even more iPads had it not been for the shortage of retina displays for the iPad mini. Couple this with the fact that the iPad air didn’t hit shelves until November 1st, and we could continue to see strong iPad sales even throughout Q1 2014. Read more »

Morgan Stanley analyst, Katy Huberty predicts that 54-55 million iPhones have been sold in Q4 2013. If this is the case, then the iPhone could have very well had a record quarter.
