Google’s Voice Search has come a long way since its inception, and the latest feature allows you to add multiple language support to your search queries.

Not only does this help multi-lingual users by adding up to five supported languages, but even has the ability to differentiate between them in the middle of your query. Google I/O conference in June shed some light on the upcoming Android L and Android Wear operating systems. Google’s presents this year for the developers and press attending the event was an Android Wear smartwatch – people got to choose between Samsung Gear Live, LG G Watch and Motorola Moto 360.

HTC has released its Zoe app for other Android devices. The app was available on the Play Store for a while now but could only be downloaded on HTC devices. This latest (beta) version, however, can be downloaded on select other non-HTC Android devices as well.

Functionality-wise, I expect the app to work just like it does on HTC phones. I say ‘expect’ because it did not work for me. The app asks you to log in to use it, which is pretty annoying as it is. If you manage to get past that, you could use Google or Facebook login, but it did not work for me and the app kept telling me it was unable to connect to HTC’s server. Read more »

Acer has apparently decided that its Iconia Tab A3 was in need of a revamp, and so the company worked on the A3-A20. This looks like it will succeed the previous model (A3-A10) in Acer’s portfolio.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha uses a 4.7″ Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution and 312ppi pixel density. That’s a first for a Samsung phone – the Galaxy S III was a 4.8″ 720p screen while the Galaxy S5 mini has a 4.5″ 720p screen, both close but not the same. A rumored Galaxy S5 Neo is expected to use Alpha’s screen.

Asus has launched a promo video for its ZenFone series of smartphones. Entitled “Empowering Luxury for Everyone” the trailer aims to show the unique blend of affordability and high-end feel of its trio of ZenFone devices.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the slimmest Galaxy phone to date, went official today. Most of the rumors throughout the past few months turned out correct – the metal-framed Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7″ Super AMOLED 720p display, runs on Exynos 5 Octa chipset with 2GB of RAM, and comes with a 12MP rear camera.

Google has updated its Google+ Android app with Chromecast support. While the company isn’t saying anything about the new feature, it’s making Google’s social network app even more social by allowing you to share the experience on your TV.

The Google+ app joins the numerous Chromecast enabled applications. The social app makes images appear fullscreen with text on top. This makes flipping through galleries a very cool experience. Read more »

The popular home media center application XBMC (soon to be known as Kodi) is running on Android TV like a champ. Keyan Mobli, who’s part of the XBMC dev community reports that it wasn’t too much work to get it going on Google’s TV version of Android, which is due to launch in the coming months.

Xiaomi plans to launch an update for its Xiaomi Mi 2 and Mi 2S smartphones by the end of this week. The update in question is MIUI v.6, which was first mentioned at the launch of the Xiaomi Mi4.
