The team that’s in charge of developing Facebook’s Messenger apps has come up with something new. The app is called Stickered, and it’s apparently due to be out in the Google Play Store for Android later today. It will also make it to iOS at some point in the future.

As you can see from the image above, Stickered basically lets you plaster the stickers you can find in Facebook Messenger over parts of your photos. Why you would choose to do such a thing is still quite the mystery, but – if you want to, now you can. Read more »

The Android TV Launcher is now available for download on Google Play. Google has decided to make it a standalone app from Android TV, similarly to the Google Experience Launcher.

The launcher gives you access to your media like movies, songs and Android TV apps like Netflix, TED and YouTube. To install it, you’ll need an Android TV device, like the Nexus Player and ADT-1. Read more »

Who wants to know more about group selfies, a.k.a groufies? Okay, for all the three of you, Huawei created a very nice infographic detailing their significance in today’s online world.

Here are some hard groufie facts – in the period between August 1 and October 31, 15,200 groufies were posted on Instagram. They received more than 67,600 likes and 20,000 comments. We don’t envy the person who had to count them, but this data is enough to convince Huawei that front-facing cameras need to more oomph. Read more »

In order to showcase the 4K video capture credentials of the Moto X (2014), Motorola handed the handset to a professional drone operator. As expected, the company’s customizable smartphone took a ride above San Francisco and captured the trip in UHD resolution.

Today Yahoo has announced it’s published a new version of its app for both iOS and Android to the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store, respectively. The update is decidedly bigger for Android, where it introduces animated weather conditions (such as fog, rain, heat, snow, lightning, and frost).

Most of those have been available on iOS 8 since September, but today lightning and frost have made their way to devices running Apple’s mobile operating system as well. Read more »

The latest company to hop onto the smartwatch bandwagon is Scania – yes, the truck making company from Sweden. It has unveiled the Scania Watch, its very first offering in this space, which is targeted at truck drivers, as you might expect.

The device is in fact a rebranded Sony SmartWatch 3, but it does feature some interesting software additions (as well as promises for much more to come in the future). This might make it more appealing to truck drivers than any other smartwatch out there. Read more »

Asus’ first Android Wear-based smartwatch is going to finally make it to the UK later this month, after it became available in the US in November. The ZenWatch will be yours to grab starting on December 23, so it could make for a very last minute present for someone (or yourself).

If you want to buy one, you’ll initially only be able to do so from Currys and PC World, since apparently these two retailers have nabbed an exclusive on the watch. The price you’ll need to pay for it will be £200. Read more »

After showcasing an exquisite Apple device yesterday it is only natural to give high-rolling Android fans a fair portion of attention. Geneva-based jeweler Savelli has apparently rolled out its second line of luxury smartphones, after entering the market last year with its $244,000 Emerald Night handset.

For this year’s offering the company has teamed up with colored gemstone miner Gemfields to bring users a new collection, named Savelli Ruby Limited Edition. It consists of two works of art that are more or less a budget-friendly solution in comparison to the company’s previous flagship. Read more »

The PS4 Remote Play app allows owners PlayStation 4 and Xperia devices to use the portable device as a wireless screen for their gaming console. That neat trick is reserved for certain Sony Androids, though with a little help from XDA Developers you can now lift that restriction.

The ported app requires Android 4.4 KitKat or later (Lollipop is a bit more difficult to set up), a PlayStation 4 (obviously), while a 5GHz router is recommended. Read more »
