The battery test of the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102 is done – it took some time, but the Y Duos is quite different from most other phones we’ve tested, both because it’s a dual-SIM phone and because it’s a fairly low-end Android.
We couldn’t run the video battery test as our standard test videos just wouldn’t work and a lower-res video wouldn’t make for a fair comparison. We doubt many people will be interested in watching a movie on a 3.14″ QVGA screen anyway. Read more »
HTC released the first OTA update for the One X last week, but the Taiwanese are already ready with update number 2. The new firmware release is 1.29.401.7 and is supposed to improve several aspects of the handset’s UI and performance.
The update is 35MB in size and provides minor bug fixes as well as various system improvements and optimization. HTC hasn’t released an official changelog as of yet, but users over at the XDA forums report that power management has been improved resulting in better battery life. Read more »

Despite being the co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak is known to use products from competing brands and publicly speak and praise them as he sees fit. So when he was asked about Windows Phone 7 by A New Domain, he did not hesitate to speak his mind.
As anyone would guess, Woz finds Windows Phone to be visually a lot superior to Android, going as far as saying that there is no contest between the two. He seemed to be especially in love with the transition animations and the simplicity of the UI, which makes it immediately apparent to the user what they have to do next. In comparison, he thinks that the Android UI is a lot more complex and requires prior knowledge on part of the user. Read more »
After bringing Movies to the Play Store in France, Google has now started offering the service in Australia as well.
Aussies will be able to watch, rent and buy movies in both HD and standard quality from the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, Google Music is not there to keep it company and it retains its US-only availability. Read more »

In a tweet yesterday, Rockstar Games announced that they’ll delay the Android version of the highly anticipated Max Payne game.
The game was originally planned to come out on April 26, but apparently some last-minute bugs popped up and the release date had to be pushed back. Don’t fret too much, however, because the game will be available in the Play Store some time next week. Read more »
