LG G2′s 13 megapixel sensor at the back is one of the most talked about features of the smartphone – the optically stabilized camera and its ability to shoot 1080p videos at 60fps have created a buzz among the tech enthusiasts. We now have a couple of user-captured videos and photos which tell us a great deal about the G2′s main shooter.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini duos battery life tests are done, here are the results

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini comes in a dual-SIM version, just like its big sibling. But with the same chipset and same battery, we can expect lower talk time and standby, with the same web browsing and video playback times, right?

Chrome Beta update adds universal image search, new gestures

Aside from the regular Chrome web browser Google supplies a Beta for eager users, wishing to check out the latest developments before they come to the battle-tested app.

Said Chrome Beta app, has received an update, which brings along new gestures, which work more intuitively than before, aiming to reduce accidental tab switching while panning and scrolling around pages. ‘Contra: Evolution’ now available on the Play Store

We reviewed Contra: Evolution when it was released on iOS back in May. Now, developers Punchbox Studios have also released an Android version of the game on the Play Store for $0.99.

Contra: Evolution, as you can imagine, is an evolved version of the 1987 cult classic. The gameplay and even the general level design is nearly identical but the game has been given a solid shot in the arm with significantly updated visuals that are completely redrawn and not just running at a higher resolution like most ports. We all know that Samsung is working on a smartwatch, which is rumored to be officially showcased at the company’s upcoming Unpacked 2 event in Berlin on September 4. The purported specifications of the gadget were revealed a few days back and now, we have another report that tells us that the Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be available in different color options.

Oppo N1 to feature a rear touch panel, new teasers reveal

We already got a couple of teasers for the Oppo N1 upcoming smartphone, and today the company posted yet another one revealing a unique feature of the handset – a rear touch panel.

The teaser in itself is quite unorthodox, if slightly cheesy, and compares the N1 smartphone to a woman’s body. Google Maps now supports real time Waze reports on Android and iOS

Just two months after Google acquired the community-based traffic and navigation app Waze, the company’s Maps app now supports real time incident reports. The information will come directly from reports submitted by the Waze community, but the feature won’t be available everywhere.

At first users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, UK and the US will benefit from real time accident, construction, road closure and other reports submitted from Waze users. However, Google Maps isn’t the only app that benefits from the collaboration of the two companies. The Waze app has been updated as well. Read more »

Oppo confirms the N1 cameraphone with teaser images, will unveil it in September

Oppo is working on a cameraphone called the N1 – it leaked early this month and now the company has officially confirmed that it will announce it in September with a couple of teaser images. The Oppo N1 will be the company’s next flagship, at least until the Find 7 is ready (which Oppo said will launch after September).

So far we’ve seen renders of the device, with info suggesting it will have a 12MP camera with a chip called Owl (a nocturnal creature, hint, hint) and a special N-Lens, plus a xenon flash. Read more »
