Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet goes on sale in the UK

Sony announced its latest flagship tablet, the Xperia Z2 at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Back at its press conference, Sony did mention that the device would hit the shelves in March, but there was no official word on how much it would cost.

Well, the pricing details are no longer a mystery as the Xperia Z2 Tablet has gone on sale in the United Kingdom. For now, the slate is available only on Sony’s online store, but the slate is expected to hit the brick and motor stores in the coming days. Read more »

Apple contemplates on-demand music streaming service, iTunes for Android

Apple is considering new ways to takes its iTunes music collection to users, and also to some new users. According to the sources at Billboard, Apple is considering releasing a on-demand music streaming service that will compete with Spotify and the new Beats Music service. Apple is currently in talks with senior label executives regarding this move.

Motorola updates its camera app with volume button shutter

Motorola introduced a refreshed camera interface with the Moto X and later on released it as a standalone self-titled camera app in the Google Play store.

After a bout of simpler, more product-focused commercials, Samsung is back to bashing the competition in its latest commercial for the Galaxy Pro series of tablets.

In this latest video, Samsung goes after not one or two but three devices, namely the Apple iPad, Microsoft Surface and Amazon Kindle. The iPad is mocked for not letting you do more than one thing at a time and for having lower resolution, the Microsoft Surface is called a laptop because it comes with a keyboard dock and the Kindle for just letting you read books. Google Search app can now launch your camera using voice commands

Google has added two new voice commands to the Search app on Android that will let you launch the camera on your phone or tablet using just your voice.

If you need to take a picture, all you have to do is hit the microphone button or say “Ok Google” and then say the voice command “Take a picture”. If you want to record a video, say “Record a video” instead. If you think this is not very useful, then you are absolutely right. Read more »
