by 1,164 comments

Craving for that sweet Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet, are we? Well if you live in the UK, get that credit card of yours ready as the slate has just become available. Comet has it in store and despite being a few days early it doesn’t charge a premium price for the Eee Pad Transformer – it’s still the expected £380.

The bad news is that the keyboard/docking station is still not available so you will have to wait a few more days to get the full set. Still you now get your chance to experience the Tegra 2 prowess on a Honeycomb tablet on a price that’s not prohibitively expensive (we are looking at you Moto XOOM). Read more »

by 33 comments

So far, it’s only a tech demo, guys, but it sure looks promising. The guys over at EHCI Research Group have found a rather clever way to track the movement of the user’s head with the front facing camera and, along with some software magic, have managed to create an impressive real-time 3D experience on Apple’s own iPad.

Motorola Atrix drops by the office, we take it for a spin, pit it against the HTC Desire S and the iPhone 4

by 29 comments

We’ve been expecting this one for a long time. And it’s finally here. The Motorola Atrix has come to our office and we’re eagerly working on a full review.

The Moto Atrix means business with its dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB worth of RAM and qHD (540×960) resolution. It’s a flagship by any standards and we’ll be testing whether it’s up to the task of competing with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S II and LG Optimus 2X.

We actually have the Atrix 4G variety – that’s the model for the US market but there are no important differences between the two models – except perhaps the supported 3G bands.

We have a video demo and unboxing for you guys to look at while you wait for the review. Without any further ado, here it is. Read more »

Sony Ericsson came up with another brilliant way to advertise its new XPERIA lineup starting with an Arc video. They replaced all windows and windshields with tin sheets and then cut three holes for the XPERIA Arc screens.

It seems the two phones on the front windshield and the other on the driver’s window were enough for making this wild video: Read more »
