It’s not uncommon for developers to release a companion game on mobile whenever they release a major title on the consoles. These mobile versions often share the same name but offer nowhere near the same experience, with a different, watered-down version of the story and gameplay found on the console version.

Despite its massive popularity, WhatsApp has been particularly laggard in updating its apps for new designs. So now three months after Apple released iOS 7, WhatsApp finally got around to releasing a design revision for the new OS.
As you can imagine, the new app uses the minimal white design inherent to iOS 7. You also get the new set of icons and the chat bubbles have been made flatter and less glossy. If you watched the recent Apple keynotes, Apple’s retort to the argument that Android devices are outselling iOS devices is that more people are actually using iOS devices as compared to Android devices.
