Halo 4 new details, Mass Effect 3 launch trailer live

Halo fans rejoice! The developer 343 Industries revealed more spicy details on the upcoming sequel of the highly anticipated Halo series.

As you should know, Bungie is no longer behind the Halo games. Instead, the 343 Industries studio has the responsibility to give the Halo universe a second life. It already has one Halo project – Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary – the remastered version of the first Halo game. Read more »

Mass Effect 3 Take Earth Back extended trailer is out

BioWare are done with the teasers and finally released the full-length trailer of Mass Effect 3 called Take Earth Back.

First the Canadians gave us a 30s preview, then we saw the premiere of “Take Earth Back” during the last The Walking Dead episode on AMC. Today, as promised, the extended cut of the trailer is out. Read more »

Apple iOS 5.1 coming on March 9?

Recently published operator profiles by Apple refer to iOS 5.1 and a release date of March 9, 2012. The profiles are intended for various operators in Japan, France, Finland, Greece and Sweden and will make sure the iPhones will connect to the specific network after an update.

The iOS 5.1 update has been in the works for quite some time, its third beta has already been seeded to the developers but there is nothing official on the launch date yet. Read more »

Xbox 360 is now the top selling console worldwide

After a few years of domination, the Nintendo Wii has finally yielded upon the Xbox 360. The Microsoft’s console sold 8.2 million units throughout the holiday quarter – 2.6 million more than the Wii sales.

It is also the best-selling console for the whole 2011 with 14.9 million Xboxes sold. The PlayStation 3 comes second with 14.1 million and the Wii is last with 10.33 million units sold. Read more »

Nokia launches Lumia 800 in Poland with an amazing 3D light show [VIDEO]

Nokia launched the Lumia 800 last night in Poland with another one of their impressive 3D projection light shows.

The first time we saw similar show from Nokia was at the Lumia 800 London launch back in November 2011. Nokia seems to like the idea and the reception by the public, so it lightened up the Staszic Palace in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Read more »

Kinect for Windows now available, costs $250 in the US

The Kinect controller for Windows has just become available. It is compatible with all Windows 7 and Windows 8 PCs with a 2.66GHz dual-core or faster CPU and at least 2GB RAM.

Note that the Kinect for Windows comes with no pre-bundled compatible application or game. We are yet to see its powers in Windows environment. Read more »

A shiny white Samsung Galaxy Note pays us a visit [HANDS-ON]

The white color Galaxy Note has been an elusive bird and it’s rarely been sighted. We finally have one and we’ve prepared a bunch of photos for you.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note back in October, but it launched only a black version of the unique phoneblet, as we like to call it internally. Just before Christmas though, the Galaxy Note appeared in snow white dress in Korea and a few other markets.

A few days ago the white Galaxy Note hit the UK and other European markets, AT&T US is also launching both the black and white Notes next month.

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 has just arrived in our office. It’s the second BlackBerry OS 7 running Bold we get our hands on and just as the Bold 9900, the 9790 also comes with a touchscreen.

The Bold 9790 is has less-capable raw power and specs than the Bold 9900 – it comes with a smaller 2.45″ HVGA touchscreen, a 1GHz processor and a 5 megapixel snapper capable of capturing VGA videos. Read more »

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE for Verizon and Galaxy Note LTE for AT&T hands-on

LTE is reigning supreme at this year’s CES and Samsung is one of the main reasons for that. The company unveiled a number of LTE-enabled versions of its smart devices and we are rushing to take them for a spin. We now have our first impressions of the Verizon-headed Galaxy Tab 7.7, and the AT&T-bound Galaxy Note.

The changes that the AT&T Galaxy Note brings include a different chipset, LTE connectivity and the four capacitive buttons, which replace the two-touch-plus-one hardware combo that we saw on the international version. Verizon’s Galaxy Tab 7.7, on the other hand trades the GSM/HSPA support for the speedier CDMA/LTE combo. Read more »
