Today Opera Software released the beta version of their latest browser. The beta is supposed to be faster, with enhanced friendliness and usability for both consumers and developers.

A new Speed Dial comes along with the new beta. This is the convenient first page, which arranges your favorite sites for easy access. It’s a key feature of Opera and most people, using their browsers are well fond of it. The new Speed Dial adds new fields as the free ones get piled-up. Internet Explorer 9 launched the other day and it seems to be gaining popularity quite quickly. The latest version of the world’s most popular web browser scored some 2.35 million downloads in the first 24 hours of its existence alone, which is pretty impressive.

As promised the HTC Thunderbolt 4G – Verizon’s first LTE-enabled smartphone – is now available. The carrier is offering it for $250 on two-year contract.

HTC’s first tablet, the HTC Flyer, is preparing to land in the UK. The Brits at Clove were very happy to announce the start of the Flyer pre-order and they even have a quick pros and cons for the device.

At this point the existence of a Wi-Fi-only version of the Motorola XOOM will hardly raise any eyebrows, it has leaked plenty of times. However the pricing and availability details that came with the official announcement are more than welcome.

We’ve come across yet another teaser of the Samsung Unpacked event and the supposed 8.9-inch tablet it revolves around. This time the video focuses on delighted consumers, talking about their Tab experience.

In a stance against phones “more” Yves Behar designed a phone for Danish manufacturer Aesir, which focuses on craftsmanship and audio experience. The result is pretty attractive (unlike some eyesores of the luxury phone world) but its price will still make you frown.

The secret art of URL guessing – sometimes it pays off. Someone decided to add /apps after amazon.com and the upcoming Android app store was revealed. It was stocked with about 50 apps, some exclusive and some cheaper than in Google’s Market.

Verizon is on course to launch another batch of powerful Android smartphones. No less than three high-end Motorola droid just leaked, along with the HTC Incredible 2 leaked today, confirming that the Verizon iPhone 4 hasn’t quenched the carrier’s thirst for smartphones.

Adobe has reported on a critical vulnerability in Flash Player, Reader and Acrobat applications. It’s interesting since it affects the desktop Flash Player along with the Android one and even the one embedded in Chrome.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Staples – it’s one of the biggest stores for office equipment in the world. And they seem to be awaiting new additions to their tablet line-up from Samsung, HTC, Dell, Acer, Toshiba and HP. All of them labeled as “Coming Soon”.

Back in January, Rovio and 20th Century Fox announced their partnership to bring an Angry Birds game, based on the 3D animation movie Rio. Today, though, Rovio made an unexpected announcement. The latest installment of the Angry Birds series is going to be exclusive to Amazon’s Android app store.
