This one is for AMD fans – Radeon-branded, AMD-manufactured DDR3 RAM modules. They will come in three flavors, but all share the same capacity – 2GB. The differences are in clock speed and timings.

The Google+ social network is growing steadily still and it has just welcomed iPad and iPod Touch users. Up until now the iOS app was only available to the iPhone, but the update that was just released fixed that. The bad news here is that iPad users are getting nothing more than an upscaled iPhone version that plainly isn’t optimized for the bigger screen.

The update to the app also brings new Huddle settings, aggregated circle add notifications and last, but not least performance and stability improvements. Hangouts are still missing in the latest version, though. Read more »

According to Compuware’s web benchmarking division, page load times are a neck and neck race between Chrome and Firefox. Internet Explorer 9, despite a good speedup is still behind, while Safari 5 has almost caught up with Firefox.

It’s an interesting report, especially the difference between perceived loading speeds and full page load speeds. Opera was left out of the report and Chrome was tested only up to version 12, not 13 (the latest currently available). Read more »

After launching an iPad version of their app and updating the Android version to support more devices in the last few days, Skype has now turned its attention to their Mac application, which has just been bumped to version 5.3.

Apple has launched a new $999 iMac, which is now their cheapest iMac. But unlike the other iMacs, you can’t just go to a store and buy one. This one is limited to educational institutions only, so unless your school or college is spending money on these for your computer lab, you probably won’t get to use one.

This model differs slightly from the base $1,199 iMac. The $999 iMac has a slower 3.1GHz dual-core Intel Core i3 processor instead of the faster quad-core Core i5 on the more expensive model. Read more »

T-Mobile sure loves tradition. The magenta colored operator began selling its myTouch branded droids a couple of years ago with the release of the myTouch 3G. Then along came the myTouch 3G Slide, followed by the myTouch 4G. Today we have the fourth member of the myTouch family which is called (yes, you got it right) the myTouch 4G Slide. It is made by HTC and has starred in quite a few leaks over the past few months under the name HTC Doubleshot. The Taiwanese company claims it is its best camera phone to date. This statement alone was enough to get us excited about spending time with the device.

The until-just-recently Chief Marketing Officer of GetJar – Patrick “Mad” Mork will head over to Google-land as Director for Mobile Applications. He has been a part of GetJar since 2008 and as he wrote in his personal blog – it has “come a long way from the small, 7-man company I was supporting from my kitchen desk in London in 2008!”.

Mork will start off with Google from September and also said in his “see you soon” letter that he’s very excited about “some of the new products and improvements we [that's GetJar, not Google] will be introducing over the next few weeks and months.” Read more »

Watch phones are still fairly popular, but their main problem is that the models available aren’t very good. What if you could have a watch that’s powered by Android, is not a phone but can remotely control a smartphone and handle calls, show you incoming texts, notifications and so on and finally comes with a titanium or gold casing?

The mythical beast known as the HTC Puccini is getting more and more real as days pass by and today we came across some leaked screenshots that almost made us feel we had the device in our hands, sort of. The Puccini will be launching on the AT&T 4G network and is supposed to have a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and dual cameras.

The screenshots show the application launcher, where you can see HTC has added custom tabs at the bottom of the screen as seen in the Sense UI on their Android phones. These let you switch from all apps, frequently used ones and downloaded apps. You can also see the bottom bar has been slightly modified with custom icons and an icon for the stylus. Read more »

Apple Store employees are some of the nicest people you will find in any store around the world and are far more tolerant of erratic behavior than others, proof of that being people bringing in pets and dancing in front of the camera right inside the store without being thrown out.

But there has to be some limit to their tolerance and so to test this limit American comedian and writer Mark Malkoff decided to do some stunts in the Manhattan Apple Store. Samsung and Sprint has just announced the availability and pricing details of the upcoming Samsung Conquer 4G. The Android smartphone will be available from 21 August for just $99 bucks on a two-year contract.

The Samsung Conquer 4G is a droid with a 3.5″ HVGA (320×480) display, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.2 MP autofocus camera on the back (and a 1.3 MP front-facing one) and powered by a 1 GHz MSM8655 Snapdragon processor. The Conquer 4G is also a dual-mode handset as it can use nationwide 3G networks as well as Sprint’s own WiMAX network. Read more »

The Google dev team announced a new feature for the Gmail web interface. The world’s most popular mailbox just got a preview pane, which allows you to check out an email without opening.

It’s almost hard to believe that this feature, which has been available on most desktop email clients and even the web interfaces of some competing mail services for a while now, is only now making its way to Gmail. Read more »

Samsung kept its promise and delivered the firmware update for their Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb tablet today. Available over the air, the update brings the custom TouchWiz user interface to the slate, making it the first Android tablet with such deep UI customizations.

The update, which should help the Galaxy Tab 10.1 stand out in the increasingly dense crowd of Honeycomb tablets, is just under 190MB so we’d suggest you use a Wi-Fi network to get it.
