The new look Chrome Web Store looks radically different from its predecessor and I must say is incredibly attractive. And it’s not just a fancy design as well but also very functional. Just one more day is left for the arrival of the highly anticipated Battlefield 3 for PC and consoles. The main reason why the game has drawn so much attention is because of its graphics, which seem to be pushing the boundaries of what is currently possible in games, in a way no game has done since the original Crysis came out four years ago.
From what I can tell, it is going to be the best looking game on the PC. But what if you have a console? Well, EA has an optional HD texture pack for you which will bump up the texture quality to make the game look almost as good as the PC version. It’s not uncommon for mobile phones these days to be used for shooting advertisements or music videos. However, it’s not often you hear about a mobile phone camera being used to record a big budget movie.
Now of course, the iPhone 4 here wasn’t used to record the whole of ‘The Avengers‘, which is slated for release next year. But cinematographer Seamus McGarvey has disclosed in an interview that he used an iPhone 4 to record certain parts of the movie. The iPad continues to be the undisputed tablet market leader as the Q3, analysts show. During the past three months 16.7 million slates were sold and the mind-blowing 66.6% of those were iPads.
The few dozens Android tablets shipped a total of 4.5 million in the third quarter, giving them a share of 26.9%. Now that may be enough to make Android the only other major player in the tablet game, but it’s actually a step back for the Google OS, compared to Q2. Read more »

As you probably know, despite the 720p resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus isn’t packing a Super AMOLED Plus, but a regular Super AMOLED screen. Those of you that have been paying more attention would even know what the main difference between the two is that the “Plus” AMOLED uses a conventional 3-subpixel-per-pixel RGB matrix, while the regular one goes by with 2-subpixel-per-pixel RGBG PenTile matrix.
