The popular developer PopCap Games has just announced that it will be bringing a couple of titles to the Android world this month. We are talking about the puzzle game Chuzzle, which is already available and the extremely successful Plants vs Zombies lane tower defense game, which should come in two weeks’ time.

Credit card giant Visa plans to roll out the most extensive digital wallet system ever attempted by a credit card processor, bank or carrier that will focus on NFC in its implementation across Canada and the US. To kick the service off they need to see a greater adoption of NFC readers from merchants, those willing to pay transaction fees back to Visa or its partner banks whilst using the service.
Visa already uses NFC readers (about 150,000 of them) in conjunction with its PayWave service but this new scheme sees Visa make far greater use of its existing reach. There are currently over 1.8 billion Visa cards in use worldwide, usable at over 30 million stores, with more than 50% of credit card transactions in the US being handled by Visa followed by MasterCard, American Express and Discover as the next largest companies. Today Nokia released information regarding plans for a new Ovi Store concept they intend to push to leading mobile companies Orange France and Deutsche Telekom (the parent company of T-Mobile).
The focus of the Ovi Store operator app store concept is the idea of a ‘store within a store’. Alongside the existing Ovi Store infrastructure, the design is intended to help “provide operators around the world new ways to differentiate, distribute and compete”. Read more »

Samsung has just released the source code of their new I9100 Galaxy S II Android flagship. This will presumably open the floodgates and custom ROMs and kernels for the extremely popular device will now start appearing at a rapid speed.
