Samsung’s Maestro Academy has come up with a new Smart Bike concept. This bicycle connects to your phone and attempts to create a safer riding experience for bikers.

The Smart Bike comes with features such as built-in camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You connect your smartphone wirelessly to the bike and it shows you what is going on bend you on the screen using the camera mounted on the back. Read more »

Scribble is an upcoming pen that can scan any color and then use it to write or draw – even with real ink. It’s got a built-in 16-bit RGB color sensor, and it comes with a mobile app that will stay in sync with all the colors that the pen has scanned.

The Scribble has two versions, one featuring actual ink and a mixing chamber used for reproducing the scanned color, and a stylus variation that will work with your mobile device’s touchscreen. Read more »

One of the most annoying things about using a smartphone is taking it out in the sun. Corning, the makers of Gorilla Glass, have been working on an anti-reflective coating for smartphone screens for a while now to combat that problem.

Google recently acquired Nest Labs, the company behind the successful Nest Learning Thermostat. It was being rumored that Google would soon start selling the thermostat from its own Google Play Store, and that indeed has happened.

The Gear Fit is easily removable from its wristband with a simple push and this enables wristband makers to offer a wide variety of options. Google has announced it will put Glass Explorer edition on sale for one day only. That day is Tuesday, April 15 and the pricetag remains the same old $1500.

Samsung might soon release an update for the Gear Fit giving it the option to flip the display vertically. This would enable better use of the fitness tracker for certain scenarios – such as checking out the time.

Facebook has announced plans to acquire Oculus VR, the company behind the much hyped and highly anticipated Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. Facebook will be spending approximately $2 billion to complete the deal, out of which $400 million would be in cash and 23.1 million shares of Facebook valued at around $1.6 billion currently.

The Facebook-Oculus deal comes out of nowhere and is at odds at what the two companies do. Yet, CEO of Facebook mark Zuckerberg assured on his Facebook post that the two companies share the same vision and that this acquisition will change the way we communicate and interact with each other.
