‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is an iOS and Android game that’s based roughly on the events in the 2012 movie of the same name. This version of the game came out around the same time as the PC and console version, but has different story and missions and has been developed by Gameloft instead of Activision.

Rovio is hard at work on an update to its Angry Birds Space game. The update is simply called “Red Planet”, and is pretty suggestive as to what it will contain.
Back in June, Angry Birds Space marked its 100th milion download, so it’s only logical for Rovio to build on the title’s success. The company also issued a teaser video for the update, which, naturally, doesn’t reveal much. Read more »
The original Fieldrunners that came out almost four years ago was probably the first tower defense game on iOS. It was also a very good game, which is why even after all these years it remains one of the best games in the genre on the platform. And lots of other titles tried to steal that crown.

Everybody’s favorite endless running game Temple Run has completed one year since its launch on iOS. In this time, the game has been downloaded over 100 million times, including downloads on Android. People have played over 10 billion sessions so far and spent close to 54,000 years combined running from evil monkeys.
The game has also received an update on iOS, which brings the version number to 1.5. In this update, the game adds Retina display support for the iPad, along with 22 new objectives and a new powerup called PermaWings that can be enabled at the start of the level and stays on permanently until you die, at which point it automatically resurrects you. EA and Firemonkeys has released the first trailer of the third installment of the popular mobile racing simulator Real Racing. And it looks simply astonishing.

Dead Trigger is available for download free of charge on the Apple App Store. After the tough decision was made for Android a while back, now Madfinger Games has decided to do the same for iOS.

While Android was the undisputed ruler in the smartphone world, it’s a different story when it comes to tablets – Apple’s iPad had a record quarter and accounted for 68.2% of tablet shipments during Q2 of this year.

We already know everything there is to know about the upcoming iOS 6 and let’s face it – it’s not going to be the jump Apple is trying to convince us it is. Everything is pretty much the same, with a few tweaks here and there, an overdue Facebook integration and extended Siri functionality.
The major new feature with the iOS 6 is the new Maps app, now with TomTom map data and, of course, the addition of navigation. Well, people do use Siri and navigation for sure, but those people have also been using this same tired iOS interface for 6 years now. Apple has released yet another ad for the iPhone 4S highlighting the Siri functionality. And this time, they have none other than Mr. Martin Scorsese himself.
This new ad sticks to the same formula as the previous ones. The celebrity is using the Siri functionality on the iPhone 4S to manage day to day tasks such as changing appointment schedules, which highlights the ease of using just your voice to do these otherwise tedious tasks while simultaneously highlighting the conversational nature of Siri. In an interesting move, Google has acquired Sparrow, a popular email client for OS X and iOS. The acquisition was announced by Sparrow’s CEO Dom Leca on their website. According to The Verge, this acquisition cost Google under $25 million.
