The Sony Xperia Z3 has been torn apart by MyFixGuide and we get to see what the company’s latest Android flagship is made of. The guide also goes through each step of the disassembly, which is useful if you ever need to take a peek inside.

But since this will void your warranty, we advise you not to. Anyway, the back cover of the phone is easy to pop open with the right tool. Once opened, you can see how Sony has insulated the phone and made able to take diving lessons over 1 meter of water for more than 30 minutes. Read more »

‘Asphalt Overdrive’ for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone review

by 73 comments

The Asphalt series of games has been around since pretty much smartphones themselves. I still remember playing the excellent Asphalt: Urban GT and its sequel, Urban GT 2 on the N-Gage. In portrait mode, no less, cause that’s how the screen on those phones were.

Since then the series has gone through a lot of changes and as with most Gameloft games are now some of the most visually impressive games available on the mobile platform. But before we head from last year’s Asphalt 8: Airborne to Asphalt 9: Whatever, Gameloft has a little spin-off called Asphalt Overdrive to keep us busy. Let’s take a look. Read more »

In this week’s poll, we get a little break from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and concentrate on the Sony Xperia Z3, which we reviewed earlier this week. We are pitting it against its main Android rivals: the HTC One (M8), Samsung Galaxy S5 and LG G3.

The Sony Xperia Z3 stands tall with its superb waterproof skills under its IP68 certification allowing it to dive below 1 meters of depth for over 30 minutes.
