While the world is waiting for Google to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for the rest of the Nexus family of devices, they happened to leak for the Nexus 7 (2012). The files are obtained by AndroidPolice and are hosted by Google, so they are the real thing.
The build is LRX21P, similar to the LRX21L and LRX21M builds of the Nexus 9 and Nexus Player, respectively. The tablet will be wiped in the process of flashing Lollipop and you can follow the instructions here to make sure you’re doing a proper job of it.
Note, that you could run into an issue with the bootloader image in the form of a signature mismatch as you are attempting to flash the latest firmware. However, that doesn’t matter as the system.img and boot.img files are those that matter.

Last month, Samsung finally announced the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, which had been leaking like crazy before that. The two new phones are decidedly mid-range in specs, but they do come with metal unibody construction. It’s taken Samsung a very long time to go this route for smartphone materials, and now it looks like it may have a problem on its hands.

HTC has published yet another of its built-in apps on the Google Play Store today. This time we’re talking about HTC Camera, which joins many other apps, including the Sense 6 lock screen, the Sense launcher, as well as HTC Weather.

Instagram has released an update for its iOS and Android apps that adds two new features. The first is the ability to edit captions, which was sorely missed before.
Previously, if you made some typo in your caption or wanted to change it, the only way was to delete it and then add it again as a comment, which only worked if someone else hadn’t commented yet on your photo.
