YouTube has enabled playback of 4K videos at 60 frames per second. For the time being, the feature is available on just six videos, which are hand picked by YouTube staff.

Xiaomi has officially announced its plans to reveal two new Mi TV models on March 24. The Chinese company is set to launch a more affordable and compact 1080p TV as well as a larger variant of the Mi TV 2 with 4K resolution.

Apple has just announced the new 12″ MacBook. The company has managed to make the notebook even thinner than the MacBook Air measuring just 13.1mm at its thinnest point.
The 12″ Retina display features a 2304 x 1440 pixel resolution. The new MacBook weighs just 907 grams (2lbs), is all-metal and because of its thinness has been stripped of most of its ports. At its “Spring forward” event today, Apple boasted it sold its 700 millionth iPhone smartphone. In fact, according to Tim Cook, iPhone sales are surpassing global smartphone sales rate on a year-over-year basis.
iPhones are growing 49% year-over-year, while the rest of the industry does so at 26%. According to analyst company KGI, Apple sold over 73 million iPhone 6 units just last quarter. Read more »
Samsung Pay went official with the unveil of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge and recent report in Korean media suggests the company will employ unusual tactics to promote its usage. Unlike its competitors, Samsung will not charge any fees for transactions made with Pay in South Korea.
The step is taken towards increasing the awareness of the Samsung Pay service and the company will virtually make no profit from transactions. The credit card companies that Samsung has partnered with won’t be charged either. Read more »

Acer has signed a partnership with Nuance, the company making Swype, to bring the virtual keyboard to current and upcoming smartphones of the company.
Swype is now shipping on Acer’s Liquid S1, Liquid S2, Liquid X1, Liquid Jade, Liquid Jade S as well as the E3, E600 and E700. To enable it, you have to go to the input and language settings on your phone and change the default keyboard to Swype. Read more »
