The Galaxy S 4G just got the iFixIt treatment. It was stripped off everything and revealed its secrets to the World. But it turns out that it’s pretty much the standard Galaxy S, save for the HSPA+ modem inside.
The Galaxy S 4G uses the ST Ericsson’s THOR M5730 HSPA+ Thin Modem for its so-called 4G capabilities theoretically reaching speed of 21 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload. Read more »
Ok, it’s official: the NEC Medias N-04C is indeed the worlds slimmest smartphone as we suggested recently. Now we have the full specs of the device besides the record-breaking thickness.
Unfortunately, the NEC Medias is bound for Japan’s NTT Docomo carrier and we probably won’t see its face around our parts of the world. The Android smartphone should be released there in the middle of March.

The first Android 3.0 Honeycomb-based tabled – the Motorola Xoom – is now available in Verizon USA network. It can be yours for $600 on two-year contract with data plan or $800 without any commitment. A Wi-Fi-only version is yet to be released.

Apple just updated their MacBook Pro line with three new models – 13”, 15” and 17” in size. Their sleek aluminum bodies have Intel Core i processors along with new graphics and plenty of battery life.

The MWC saw so many tablet announcements, but few of the manufacturers told us anything about the pricing. Fortunately things are starting to clear out now as two of the new slates got an estimated price tag and one of them even a target release date.

Apple will hold a special event on Wednesday, March 2 where it will lift the curtains on the successor of its trendsetting tablet – the iPad 2. As usual, Apple is holding its cards close to the chest and nothing is known for sure just yet.

The full SDK for Android 3.0 is available to developers and now they can start making apps for the tablet-oriented OS. The new APIs are ready and integrated and the SDK Tools are now at version r13.
This is great news for future owners of the slew of Honeycomb tablets released this year at the MWC, running Honeycomb. It means that pretty soon the new Android version will be getting specific apps in the Android Market.
With all the fuss about the impressive 1080p video recording and the gorgeous new SuperAMOLED Plus display we might have missed a pretty cool new feature of the Samsung Galaxy S II – its MHL port. Long story short it’s a port that integrates HD TV output into a compact microUSB-shaped connector.

Microsoft has released the service pack for Windows 7 right on schedule. SP1 include all important updates to date plus some new ones, but nothing major.
Reportedly, a Samsung spokesperson contacted a Korean news outlet informing them Samsung will release a 8.9-inch Android tablet in the first half of the year. Following the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the manufacturer is about to unveil a smaller tablet, but still one that’s bigger than the original Galaxy Tab.

Today Sony introduced a few new entries to its VAIO lineup of notebooks. We got the ultra-powerful yet extremely portable new S series and the neon-colored C series that should appeal to younger users.
