US carrier Sprint may file a lawsuit against the T-Mobile takeover by AT&T. This was said today by Sprint CEO, Dan Hesse at the CTIA in Orlando, Florida.

Hesse’s concerns are this acquisition will hurt the wireless industry. He went to say that if this deal went through, AT&T and Verizon will hold 79% of the US market share, leaving Sprint at the lowly third spot and almost bereft of leverage. Read more »

Today, 6 months after the first beta was released, Mozilla finally unveiled a release candidate version of Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo devices. This means that we are just a few weeks away from a final, perfectly stable version.

Google has just announced the availability of the beta version of their latest Chrome browser. The new version number is 11.0.696.16 and introduces several new features to Chrome to users of all major platforms (PC, Mac and Linux).

The tablet wars have just heated up immensely and we might be on the verge of an explosion right now, as Samsung has just revealed its two new weapons – the refreshed Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 8.9. We already told you what they are all about and now comes the time for the big question – how do they compare to the new tablet blockbuster – the iPad 2?

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung’s CEO said that he feels the Galaxy Tab 10.1 felt “inadequate” to the newly released iPad 2 and that some changes needed to take place, one of which was the pricing. The 3D shooting, 3D viewing T-Mobile G-Slate tablet showed up at CTIA to announce its price and remind people that it’s coming. The T-Mobile G-Slate (a version of the LG Optimus Pad) has two cameras to capture 3D photos and videos and can display them on its 8.9” screen (glasses are required though).

I bet every tablet-loving gadget fan has been anticipating this one from day one. Well, most of you, anyway. Ever since the first “What’s your tab life?” teaser hit the web, we have been waiting to see what this new Samsung tablet is all about.

Well now that we are only a few hours away from its official announcement we can confirm most of its key specs. Now the 8.9″ display is an obvious one for the Galaxy Tab, but the really great WXGA resolution (that’s 1280×800 pixels, in case you are wondering) comes as a nice bonus. For such a minor manufacturer Archos certainly brings plenty of innovation to the table. The Archos 70 and 101 tablets were pretty exciting already with their slim waistlines and remarkable feature to price ratio, but it seems the best is still to come.

Nokia has fixed the Mail for Exchange synchronization issues (but not this one it seems) that were plaguing the Nokia N8 (and the other Symbian^3 phones too) with a voluntary software update. This is the second Symbian^3 update (this one was the first) – and it’s still not the one we were all waiting for.
