The third generation of Samsung Galaxy Tab lineup only has one official member so far (the Tab 3 7.0), but the rumor mill is adamant that there are 8″ and 10.1″ versions on the way. And the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 may have just shown up in GLBenchmark scores.

A research report coming from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the second-gen Nexus 7 is going to pack a substantial upgrade compared to the outgoing model. He suggests the new Nexus 7 would feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and is going to run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The upgraded slate is still going to be manufactured by ASUS with the 7″ display left will bring a major resolution boost – 1920 x 1200 pixels. Read more »

HTC is allegedly working on a couple Windows RT Blue powered tablets, which are codenamed R7 and R12. The “R” in the title indicates that the slates will be running on the latest Windows RT Blue edition.

The HTC R7 is rumored to sport a 7″ full HD display and a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM. Read more »

The latest rumor suggests Samsung has a new camera-centric smartphone in the works – the Galaxy S4 Zoom, which will feature a 16MP camera sensor.

A number of Tegra 4 powered devices were discovered in AnTuTu benchmark results, including a Toshiba tablet. Now we’re getting a better look of that tablet thanks to photos sent to Techblog.gr.

The tablet runs Android 4.2.1 and is powered by four Cortex-A15 CPU cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The Tegra 4 chipset also packs a fifth power-saver core. Read more »

It looks like both HP and Toshiba are working on devices powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 chipset. HP has two – a tablet and an All-in-One computer – and Toshiba has at least one tablet (that we know of). The trio was discovered in AnTuTu benchmarks.

The HP tablet is called HP SlateBook 10 X2 and packs a 10” screen with FullHD resolution. It ran Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean at the time of benchmarking. Read more »

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is so far unique in Samsung’s lineup and quite a rare beast in general – an Android-powered camera (especially if you don’t count the once that get announced but never make it to the market). It may not be lonely for long though, the Bluetooth SIG has certified a Samsung GN120 Galaxy Camera device.

The current Galaxy Camera has two versions – GC100 with mobile connectivity and the GC110, which is Wi-Fi only. Notice it’s GC, while the new device is GN. Read more »

This is strictly in unconfirmed rumors territory, but we’re hearing a lot about Samsung’s tablet plans in 2013. The company already delivered the Galaxy Note 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and seems intent on following up with Galaxy Tab DUOS 7.0, Galaxy Tab 8.0, Galaxy Tab 11, Nexus 11 and finally (maybe) the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

An as of yet unknown tablet from Asus, the Eeepad ME302C has surfaced on the GLBenchmark website, revealing yet another variant of Asus’ successful Android based tablet.

The Android version in question will be the latest 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but more importantly, the tablet will be powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ dual-core processor clocked in at 1.6 GHz. Read more »

An alleged (that being the key word here) internal test on the Samsung Galaxy S4, performed by Samsung, revealed that the company thinks the device is good but not quite the best.

The report acknowledges that the device is good, but doubts that “this model can revolutionize the market”. Still the study concludes that Samsung is conquering the smartphone market and leading among manufacturers of Android devices. Read more »

The purported Motorola Phone X might be called simply “Google X” as an AnTuTu score card suggests. The card, which emerged today, gives us a glimpse of what to expect from the first Google flagship designed by Motorola.

Additionally, the benchmark reports that the device is running Android 5.0.1. This gives everyone a tiny bit of hope that the next Android iteration would be ready for prime time at Google I/O 2013 in May. Read more »

According to a trusty source inside Google, Android Key Lime Pie is going to be delayed by 2 to 4 months, and won’t make it in time for the Google I/O 2013 conference.

The report comes from GadgetTronica, who mention that the reason for the delay isn’t so much in the development of the OS update, but rather Google trying to give OEMs a chance to get as many of their phones to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as possible. Read more »

A Foxconn employee has sent a tip to news outlet China Business reporting that Apple has rejected between 5 and 8 million iPhone handsets “due to appearance of substandard or dysfunctional problems.”

The source of the information doesn’t specify what’s the iPhone model and what exactly was wrong with the units, so its hard to say whether there’s a problem with the aluminum casing or the hardware innards of the devices. Read more »

The next generation Galaxy Note phablet has been doing the rounds in Rumorland for quite some time now and according to the latest speculations, it might feature an OLED display, made from a plastic substrate.

Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to feature a 5.99″ OLED screen, which with conventional RGB matrix (as opposed to PenTile), along with the Full HD resolution. The OLED display with the plastic substrate will be much thinner and lighter than that of the conventional LCD or OLED. Read more »

Cupertino recently filed a patent for a wraparound style display for what could be the next generation iPhone display. While the next iPhone is surely quite some time away, that hasn’t stopped designers from coming up with their own concepts.
