The LG G3 is one beautiful device in person, but is not yet available in stores where you can experience it for yourselves. And there’s plenty to experience, like five different color options – Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Burgundy Red and Moon Violet.
While not as good as seeing them in person, here’s an image that shows all five colors doing the 360. Read more »

Three new short commercials popped up on Samsung’s official YouTube channel today. They are all about the Galaxy S5 flagship, but it is nowhere to be found in the videos.
The three short videos are quite different from the promos Samsung has been pushing lately. Instead of super expensive, out of this world videos, those look like they are made with a limited budget, but a lot of inspiration. Read more »

We have seen instances before where the iPhone camera was used to do professional recording with stunning results. The latest example comes from Bentley Motors, that recorded a short documentary on its Bentley Mulsanne entirely on an iPhone 5s. And then edited it on the iPad Air.
The three minute long documentary focuses on the company’s approach to cars and the level of quality that you can expect from them. You see the two Mulsannes going around the streets of New York, with swooping camera shots in lovely film noir style. if you didn’t know better, you’d never know the video was shot on a phone. It its latest ad Nokia is focusing the attention on its Creative Studio and more importantly the Colorpop feature that allows you to only display one color channel on an otherwise black and white photo.
The ad is dubbed Children of the Revolution and, you guessed it – comes with the epic T-Rex song as background. The ad itself is a sequel to Nokia’s last ad – Not Like Everybody Else (that epic Kinks song) and has the first ad cameo at the end. Read more »

The HTC One mini 2 boasts many hardware improvements over its predecessor – it packs a bigger 4.5″ screen, the same Snapdragon 400 chipset but with four Cortex-A7 cores, instead of two Krait ones. There’s also a bigger 2,110 mAh battery over the 1,800 mAh unit of the One mini.
The software is new as well compared to when we reviewed the HTC One mini a year ago – the HTC One mini 2 launches with the most recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense UI 6 right out of the box. Read more »
Our in-depth review of the 6″ Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has been around for a while and it’s time we give you the full battery breakdown. The phablet packs a huge 3,000 mAh battery to power the massive 6″ IPS 720p display, plus it’s quad-core Cortex-A7 processor should be lightweight on the battery.
We were disappointed from the battery performance of the Sony’s previous phablet – the Xperia Z Ultra – so we didn’t expect miracles from the T2 Ultra either. We couldn’t have been so wrong. Read more »
We met the Gionee Elife S5.5 back at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and we were absolutely impressed by its build quality. While the brand may not be terribly familiar with most people out there, it’s going to quickly gather traction if it continues to make such extraordinary smartphones.
Why this fuss? For starters, the Elife S5.5, along with the Allview X2 Soul, is the slimmest smartphone in the world right now and measures just 5.55mm thick. It features a metal frame which gives it a premium feel, while the glass back panel improves the feel in the hand even more. Read more »
