Motorola has finally taken the wraps off the second iteration of its popular Moto X smartphone, called, well, the Moto X. The new Moto X looks similar to the previous one but is bigger and more powerful now.
The new Moto X has a 5.2-inch, 1080p Super AMOLED display, an upgrade over the 4.7-inch 720p display on the original Moto X. This has made the phone go from measuring 129.3 x 65.3 x 10.4 mm to 140.8 x 72.4 x 9.97mm. To clarify, that’s bigger than the Nexus 5. The AMOLED display-touting Samsung Galaxy Tab S, in its 10.5-inch iteration, is now officially headed to Sprint in the United States.
It will be released by the carrier on September 12. Using Sprint’s Easy Pay installment scheme, you’ll be able to grab one for $0 down (plus tax), then followed by 24 monthly payments of $27.09. That said, you will obviously need to get a service plan for it. Read more »
LG’s round-faced smartwatch running Android Wear, the G Watch R, is due to become available on October 14. The news reportedly comes straight from the Korean company itself.
LG hasn’t yet officially announced pricing for the G Watch R internationally. However, the press release unveiling the new watch for the German market mentioned a recommended retail price of €299. Read more »
Smartwatches are all the rage here at IFA 2014 with Asus, Samsung and Sony getting in the mix and now LG has shown its first rounded smartwatch – the G Watch R.
It has a rounded watch face complete with a 1.3″ rounded POLED (plastic organic light-emitting diode) display, Snapdragon 400 chipset and a battery that will reportedly be able to endure for one day and a half to two days with the always on feature enabled. Read more »
Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Tab Active, a ruggedized version of their Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. The tablet features an anti-shock covering that protects it from drops as high as 1.2m. It is also dust and water resistant with IP67 certificate.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a 8.0-inch, 1280×800 resolution LCD, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot, 3.1 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, C-Pen stylus, 4,450mAh replaceable battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat. Read more »
Yesterday Samsung was set to unearth the latest Note smartphone but instead of one showed two – the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.

LG Display has announced today that its has started development of the “the first circular Plastic OLED” display to be featured in their G Watch R smartwatch.
The rounded P-OLED display is set to have a diameter of 1.3 inches and a thickness of just 0.6mm. Read more »
Yesterday at IFA, Samsung announced its much awaited Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. In case you missed the keynote, Samsung has released a new video that shows all the new features and specifications of the phone in brief.
One of the important changes on the Note 4 is the design. The phone now features an aluminum frame with the faux leather back from the Note 3. There is also the 2.5D glass up front that flows into the chamfered edges of the aluminum with metal buttons on the side. Read more »
By now you probably know that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 earlier today. Yet here we are, mere hours later, and the company’s chief competitor from its native South Korea, LG, is already mocking it.
The image above was posted on Twitter by LG’s arm in Jordan. It takes aim at a new feature that lets Galaxy Note 4 owners take selfies by placing a finger on top of the heart rate monitor on the back of the phablet, then taking said finger off of it. Read more »
We’ve managed to extract the official camera samples from the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. If we are to trust the embedded camera information, those were actually taken with a Galaxy Note 4. But since both devices feature identical camera departments, it really doesn’t matter.
Both Note devices feature front 3.7MP snappers with f/1.9 aperture for selfies, while the rear sensors are of 16MP resolution, probably ISOCELL – the same as on the Galaxy Alpha. Read more »

We all love this part – the immaculate videos created months in advance to show off a product with perfectly-timed music and effects. Sony’s good at this stuff and the Xperia Z3 is the company’s best phone yet so this should be good. Read more »
