LG G3 buyers will get a free VR headset based on Google’s Cardboard project

LG has teamed up with Google to offer future buyers of the G3 a free VR headset. This is based on Google’s Cardboard contraption unveiled last year at the search giant’s developer conference. However, LG has tweaked things a bit.

First off, this iteration seems to be made out of plastic, and not actual cardboard. Next up, it features cutouts for the G3′s rear-facing power and volume buttons, as well as its 1W speaker. Read more »

It’s not like we needed any more evidence that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge exist, but Samsung continues to provide it by slowly building up various web pages for those two. First the support page and now the official SAR values are out.

Amazon offers discounts for Kindle tablets and e-readers as a Valentine’s Day deal

Amazon, being the symbol of consumerism that it is, has some strange ideas of what constitutes an appropriate – never mind good – gift for Valentine’s Day. Honey, I got you some Kindle tablets and e-readers, they were on sale!

Jokes aside, the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 (64GB, Wi-Fi) has been slashed from its normal price of $480 to just $300. That’s not a bad deal for an 8.9″ 2,560 x 1,600px display, Snapdragon 805 and a free Amazon Prime subscription. Read more »

Motorola Moto E gets a price cut in India

Motorola’s entry-level Android smartphone Moto E has received a price cut in India. Originally costing at INR 6,999 ($112), the entry-level Android device is now available at INR 5,999 ($96).

Motorola has launched many other offers too. For example, you can exchange your old phones (select models only) and get discounts of up to INR 4,000 ($64) and INR 6,000 ($96) on the purchase of the second generation Moto G and Moto X respectively.

Google acquires photo/video backup and sharing service Odysee

Google has acquired Odysee, a company offering an iOS and Android app that allows you to automatically backup photos and videos from your mobile devices to your personal computers, as well as lets you privately share them with others. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

“Odysee’s vision was to be the easiest way for everyone to capture unlimited memories and access them everywhere. We are very excited to join Google where we’ll continue to focus on building amazing products that people love,” the company said in an announcement post on its website. The company will now be a part of the Google+ team. Read more »

HTC allegedly working on Android tablet based on Nexus 9

After making the Nexus 9 for Google, HTC is allegedly working on its own branded tablet, which will be based on the Nexus 9.

According to upleaks, the tablet will have similar dimensions as the Nexus 9, meaning a 9-inch display, probably with the same 4:3 aspect ratio. However, the hardware specifications will be different. Read more »

‘Game of Thrones – A Telltale Games Series – Episode 2′ for iOS and Android game review

Telltale has released the next episode in its Game of Thrones series of games. Called The Lost Lords, it is the second episode in the six part series based on the hit HBO show, Game of Thrones, which itself is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series of books by George R. R. Martin.

The episode 2 continues from where the first episode left off, which we reviewed here. Episode 1 started off on a strong mark, so let’s see if episode 2 can keep the momentum going. Read more »

We liked a lot about the Sisley in our review like the great design, the good Super AMOLED panel, capable Vibe UI v.2 software and the camera among other things but the battery life was only average. Read more »
