Madfinger Games’ first attempt at a first person zombie shooter was pretty successful, judging by the 18 million downloads across iOS and Android. Now they have announced a successor in the form of Dead Trigger 2, which takes a slightly new direction with gameplay and also features improved visuals over its predecessor.
Unlike Dead Trigger, which was just a single player game, Dead Trigger 2 is actually a massively multiplayer online first person shooter. This means that you will be playing besides hundreds of other players in a common world against a common enemy. Read more »
Google’s stock Android keyboard is now officially available in the Play store as a standalone app. The keyboard is available for free for users of devices running Android 4.0 and up.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is a big device, no question about it, it even makes the Galaxy S4 look compact. We already have a feel for the Mega 6.3 from its preview and we’re working on a full review. But before that’s done, we have to ask – does the battery live up to the “mega” monicker?
We’ve seen great battery efficiency from dual-core Snapdragon chipsets and the 3,200mAh battery has plenty of juice. So, it all comes down to the screen – and what a screen it is, it measures 6.3″ in diagonal and its surface area is only 23% smaller than a 7″ tablet (assuming a 16:10 screen for the tablet, like the Nexus 7). ASUS CEO Jerry Shen has teased the company’s yet-to-be announced Android tablet at a Qualcomm Keynote at Computex 2013. The ASUS executive also revealed the presence of Snapdragon chip along with an LTE radio inside the tablet.
The mysterious tablet is said to have a full HD display and given the looks of the slate, it might well be a LTE variant of the recently announced MeMo Pad FHD 10. Read more »
Google has released a new update for Google Glass, which should make one of the most popular uses of the device an even better experience. First up is HDR photography. Now when you take a picture with your Google Glass, the device will take multiple photos at different exposures and then combine them to create an image with greater dynamic range. This will allow you to see more details in the bright as well as dark areas of the shot that are otherwise not possible with a single exposure shot.
The other feature being added is the ability to add captions to your pictures before sharing them. Now, once you are done taking your picture, you will see an option to add a caption. Select it and then simply speak your caption and it will be added to your photo.

Just like the pricier Pro X2 card, the Mobi creates a Wi-Fi network that you can connect to with your iOS or Android device where the Eye-fi app will automatically download the photos. Google has released the v4.5 update for the Gmail app for Android, which brings with it some UI changes, some of which are in tune with the recent changes seen on Gmail website.
The first thing you’ll notice is that Google has done away with the bottom bar that hosted buttons for new mail, search, labels, refresh and menu. Three of those have now been moved to the action bar on top and refresh has been included in the UI in the form of pull to refresh. The options in the drop down menu on top to move between your accounts, folders and labels has now been moved into a drawer on the left. Read more »
Twitter announced its new service named Vine in January, letting you share short looping videos on the popular social network. Back then a Vine app was only available for iOS, but that exclusivity is finally coming to an end. The service, which already has about 13 million active users, has finally been made available for Android.
Vine for Android currently requires Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher to work, but it lacks some of the features from the iOS app. However, Twitter promised that it will soon release an update for the Android version that will put it on par with its iOS counterpart. Read more »
ASUS has officially announced its Transformer Book Trio at the on-going Computex 2013. The ASUS Transformer Book Trio is a three-in-one mobile device, which dual-boots Windows 8 and Android and aims to give you a netbook, a tablet and a Windows 8 desktop PC in one device.
The Transformer Book Trio sports an 11.6-inch detachable display and the PC Station dock has an Intel Core i7 processor, keyboard and a 750 GB hard drive. The tablet display can be detached and the main part can be hooked to an external display to use as a desktop PC. Read more »
The Asus Fonepad raised a lot of eyebrows when it was announced – a 7″ tablet with phone aspirations, which was too underpowered to gain major traction. Yet the company seems undeterred as it today announced the Asus Fonepad Note, a 6″ phablet.
