You already know almost everything about the 7-inch BlackBerry PlayBook tablet from its announcement. Some new details have been reported at the GITEX expo in Dubai. They include the tablet’s battery capacity and its onboard storage.
It seems the BlackBerry PlayBook will have similar storage versions to the iPad – 16, 32 and 64GB.

T-Mobile is going to extend its Wi-Fi calling service over some of their Android smartphones. The mobile app that would allow that will become available for select T-Mobile Android v2.x devices.
Modu is gathering the press on the magic 10 October to show the world their next modular phone. It’s called the T-Phone and runs on Android OS. Its core will pack touchscreen, 3G, Wi-Fi, 2GB internal storage and microSD card slot. As usual the rest of the features will depend on the jackets that’s on top.
Samsung Continuum is another Galaxy S phone to hit Verizon this month. The interesting thing about this one is the two Super AMOLED capacitive screens on its front. The smaller unit is dedicated to all kind of statuses icons such as new messages, emails, missed calls, weather, etc.
Nintendo 3DS specifications, release dates and price have been finally revealed. The new portable console will cost 250 euro in Japan and will be released on 26 February. Europe and USA launch will follow in March on a similar price.
The good news first – HTC’s CEO Peter Chou confirmed there will be Sense UI into the company’s upcoming Windows Phone 7 devices, it just won’t be the way we are used to. Here is his full statement:
“I don’t think we would do complete Sense UI on Windows Phone 7. However, I will say that we will innovate differently to improve the experience and to get some HTC unique and differentiated experience on Windows Phone 7 in the future.”
Aldo Liguori from Sony Ericsson UK spoke to BusinessWeek and said that the company has no plans of creating any more Symbian-based devices.
It does not sound conclusive, but it seems Nokia is alone for now. Let’s hope Symbian^3 and its successors will have the power to draw back some of its fans. Read more »
