Google have just announced their new Google Wallet and Google Offers services, this then dropped them straight into a lawsuit with PayPal, but that’s not going to stop them from rolling out their new service.

The Hangover was a sleeper hit in cinemas back in 2009 and the hotly anticipated sequel, The Hangover Part II, has just hits theaters worldwide. To tie in with the film’s release, boxing game Mike Tyson: Main Event for iOS got a Hangover themed update all its own.

Developers RockLive, have included a bunch of cool new content themed around the movie, the main draw being that now you can box with the likes of a Hangover II themed Mike and the infamous Mr. Chow guest stars as well. Read more »

Revamped Google mobile interface on iOS devices came and went, did you catch it?

Anyone else caught wind of this? Apparently some iOS users have recently stumbled upon a revamped version of Google’s mobile site. Primarily the changes are cosmetic but in a big way. It appears Google have gone for a more graphical UI, displaying their primary services via an app screen style, 4×3 layout with tabbed window elements to boot.

Huawei bringing a high-end Android device to the UK in 2011

Chinese Mobile manufacturer Huawei are looking to make a greater impact on the UK market and the Huawei Vision aims to signify their presence as a high-end smartphone contender.

Both Huawei and ZTE recently received approval to become official Windows Phone OEM’s but in the meantime, they’re setting their sites on the upper echelons of the Android market (not to be confused with the Android Market). Samsung demands to see the next iPhone and iPad, thinks it’s only fair

In a move that would improve anyone’s mood due to its hilarity, Samsung has filed a motion in court asking Apple to hand over the next iPhone and iPad. The reason for that is because they want to know if they are similar to Samsung’s own products and they would want to take measures from Apple from suing them again for copying their designs.

80% of paid apps in Android Market get downloaded less than 100 times, wonder why

The number of apps in the Android Market may be growing at a healthy rate but do all those apps do well? Well, not quite, especially if it is a paid app. A new report released by Distimo suggests that about 80% of the paid apps get downloaded less than 100 times.

Sony announces Wireless Stereo Headset for the PlayStation 3, supports 7.1 surround sound for games

So far there was no way to connect a stereo headset directly directly to the PS3. Even if you pair a Bluetooth stereo headset the PS3 would only transmit voice during a multiplayer game but not the game sound. You would then have to rely on accessories such as the Astro MixAmp that connected to the PS3 through the optical audio out and then you can connect your headphones to the device. But not anymore. Sony has announced their own Wireless Stereo Headset for the PS3.

But don’t let the ‘Stereo’ moniker fool you. The headset actually supports 7.1 channel digital surround sound for a more immersive gaming experience. Read more »

Sony is working on the PlayStation 4, after all

Sony has been continuously denying it’s started working on the next PlayStation console, but yesterday its CFO revealed that the PS4 is in development.

It’s not surprising at all though. The PS3 is already five years old, may be it has at least three years left of its lifespan, so it’s time Sony to start thinking on the successor. And there is this PSN thingy too… Read more »

YouTube now supports NVIDIA’s active shutter glasses, displays 3D videos in Firefox

In an odd collaboration Google, Firefox and NVIDIA have made a special version of YouTube, which lets you view 3D content in Firefox 4 using NVIDIA’s 3D Vision system.

YouTube has been showing 3D videos for a while now, but those were of the anaglyph variety – this update adds support for NVIDIAs active shutter glasses. Read more »

PayPal files a lawsuit against Google after Wallet’s announcement

Well, it didn’t take so long for yet another lawsuit filled against Google. Just after the announcement of Google Wallet and Offers yesterday, the online money transfer giant PayPal filled a 28-page claim (get the PDF).

It turns out that Osama Bedier, currently working as Vice President of Payments in Google previously worked at PayPal as a mobile payment executive and thus misappropriated PayPal’s trade secrets by joining Google.
