The BlackBerry PlayBook never gained the popularity that RIM was hoping for and rumors of a bigger 10″ version fizzled out. Vietnamese blog Tinhte however, received photos of just that – a 10″ PlayBook – right next to a PlayBook 4G (Sprint had plans to offer these but then canceled).

Windows 8 is coming in the end of October and to ensure its adoption goes as smooth as possible, Microsoft has announced the new Wedge Mobile Keyboard and Wedge Touch Mouse.
The Wedge Mobile Keyboard keyboard is meant for tablets so it isn’t some simple Bluetooth keyboard with Windows 8-specific keys. No, it comes with a special cover which hides some nifty tricks under its sleeve.
Microsoft has revealed in its annual report filed this week that the anticipated Windows 8 based Surface tablet will be released along with the operating system on October 26.
So far we only knew that the tablet would go on sale sometime after the launch of the OS but it’s good to know that the tablet will also be releasing on the same day.
It looks like Samsung is about to answer all critics of the PenTile natured displays of the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S III in an adequate fashion. The Korean giant has reportedly squeezed out the jaw dropping 350ppi out of an AMOLED display with RGB stripe.
The feat has been accomplished in laboratory test, via the application of fine metal mask technology, which is a departure of the, currently used by Samsung, laser-induced thermal imaging method.
The Asphalt series of games are widely regarded as the best arcade racing games on mobile. They are often compared to the Need for Speed series on the consoles, which is a good thing as it is one of the best and most popular series of arcade racing games on any platform.
The latest iteration in the Asphalt series is Asphalt 7: Heat. The first time we got a glimpse of this game was in the promotional material for the Samsung Galaxy S III, although the game itself arrived on iOS first, as they usually do, and it’s only now after almost a months has it made an appearance on Android.

It’s been quite a while since Apple released ads for the Mac. All the recent memorable ads have either been for the iPhone or the iPad. In fact the last memorable ads for the Mac were the famous ‘Mac vs. PC’ series and it’s been three years since those came out. But now that Apple recently updated their MacBooks, they probably felt it was the right time to go ahead and make some new ads.
So now we have three new ads for the Mac that don’t concentrate on any particular model, but like the older ‘Mac vs. PC’ ads aim to glorify the Macs as a whole and all the features they have. They also fail spectacularly at doing that.
Carphone Warehouse will be selling two limited edition Olympic-flavored versions of the Samsung Galaxy S III. The device will be available exclusively from CW starting August 1 and the price starts from 28 quid a month from Vodafone, Orange, O2, T-Mobile, Talk Mobile and Three.

Good news for all racing fans – the Asphalt 7: Heat has finally made it to the Google’s Play Store. The game has been released more than five weeks ago on the Apple’s App Store, but is only now coming to Android users.

The Samsung I8530 Galaxy Beam is a fairly unique device with its built-in pico-projector. Samsung has put a big 2000mAh battery inside the smartphone, which is almost as big as the one on the Galaxy S III, and given that there’s only a dual-core processor and a smaller 4″ LCD to feed we expected it to fare quite well in our test.

Razer has announced the latest entrant in its gaming series of mice, called the Ouroboros. Keeping with their tradition of naming their products after extinct or mythical creatures, the Ouroboros mouse shares its name with an ancient symbol depicting a serpent swallowing its own tail and forming a circle.
The Ouroboros has got quite an interesting design. It has a customizable design that reminds one of the Cyborg R.A.T.7, although it is not quite as customizable. What you can do on the Ouroboros is adjust the length of the back arch, making the mouse longer. The arch also tilts so you can have a shape that fits your palm best.
