Xiaomi is a young company that made a name for itself with affordable, feature-rich Android phones but is branching out now. Its new product is called the Xiaomi MiBox, an Android-based set-top box.
Typically for Xiaomi, the MiBox is priced quite attractively – $64 (RMB 399). Unfortunately, the company is yet to expand its availability beyond China.
The Sony Xperia go just can’t catch a break – the durable Android handset was tortured in the summer and now the same guys are back to torment it in winter conditions. The poor guy was thrown around, ran over, jumped on, bashed, dunked and put through other trials.

We were able to take the HTC DROID DNA camera out for a spin and see if the beastly smartphone can also double as a proper cameraphone. The 8MP camera of the smartphone is operated in a way very similar to that of the HTC One X+, which we just reviewed.

HTC just announced the DROID DNA for Verizon – a 5-incher droid with a super impressive 1080p display and a 1.5GHz quad-core Krait processor.

The HTC One X+ is a quick update to the company’s flagship – they pumped up the Tegra 3 chipset to higher clock speeds, fitted a bigger battery to compensate and threw in some extra storage to sweeten the pot.

According to reports coming out of Korea, Samsung has apparently increased the manufacturing cost of processors that it supplies to Apple by 20%.
As you may know, Apple custom designs its own chipsets for use in iOS devices but these chips are then manufactured by Samsung to Apple’s specifications. Samsung has now increased the prices of these chips by 20% and Apple, faced with the lack of immediate alternatives, has agreed.
After announcing the aggressively priced $249 Samsung Chromebook last month, Google has now announced an even more aggressively priced Chromebook.
This new model is manufactured by Acer and is sold for just $199 in the US. For that price you get a machine that has a 11.6-inch display, an Intel Core processor, 320GB hard drive with additional 100GB free storage on Google Drive, 3.5 hour battery life and of course, Google’s Chrome OS.
