A rather interesting slide has surfaced today on Weibo, which seems to reveal ARM’s future roadmap for processor core designs. From the looks of things, the company’s lineup is in for a major overhaul, which is sure to affect the whole mobile industry, as ARM’s Cortex designs are widely employed by most mobile chip makers.

The graph suggests that there will be five new core designs, all bearing catchy Greek mythological names. But, besides an optimization for smaller production processes, like 16nm FitFET and 10nm, the new cores also fill the gap between the current Cortex-A57 and Cortex-A53 with a whole new tier of chips. Twitter-owned video social network Vine has updated its iOS app, allowing you to share videos on multiple social networks in one go. “This means you can quickly and easily revine, send posts to your friends via Vine messages (VMs), and share to Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr,” the company said.

So now if you want to share a Vine video with your friends who are scattered across multiple social networks, all you have to do is to go to the new share screen (see image above), mark the services that you want to include, and click the Revine and share button. Valve and HTC developed the first VR headset for the upcoming Steam VR platform. The new platform will need games and devs can now sign up for a free HTC Vive Developer Edition headset.

Adobe has rolled out an update for its Lightroom app for Android that’s loaded with features. For starters, the new app build finally brings support RAW files, thus meaning that you can transfer actual DNG files from your computer to an Android 5.0 Lollipop running smartphone or tablet for further editing.

EA Sports released a UFC mobile game for Android. The graphic-intensive game was previously available in only a few markets globally – now everyone can install it for free from Google Play.

The game features real UFC fighters and touch-optimized controls that consist of taps and swipes; special moves appear as separate buttons at the bottom of the screen. Read more »

The Android version of WhatsApp finally let everyone use the voice call feature at the end of March, and now the same can be said for the app’s iOS iteration.

The latest version of WhatsApp for iPhone, 2.12.1, has just gone live in the iTunes App Store. Once you install it (or update to it), you’ll get the ability to call your WhatsApp contacts. Like we told you a few days ago, Office universal apps are headed to the Windows 10 for phones preview before the end of April. It looks like they will land as part of a new preview release that’s due to be out soon for members of the Windows Insider program. The new build has the number 12544, and it’s been given a short video preview somewhere in China.

Sony has started rolling out the new PlayStation 4 firmware 2.51 version for the game console. The firmware rollout is gradual so it might take a while to show up on your console.

The new firmware 2.51 mostly tweaks the system software to improve stability and performance while using select features as well as applications. However, the change log doesn’t specify the features and applications that benefit the most from the patch. Read more »

Microsoft has announced that it will launch a retail store in Australia, making it the first country outside of North America to have a flagship Microsoft store. The store will open in Sydney, and will be located in Westfield Sydney on Pitt Street Mall, which is just a few hundred meters from Apple’s flagship outlet.

“This will be much more than a store. It will embody the world class innovation that you have come to expect from Microsoft and be a space where consumers can visit and learn how to make the most of their technology,” said Microsoft Australia’s managing director Pip Marlow. Read more »

Avalanche Studios, the developers of Just Cause 2, announced the post-apocalyptic adventure game Mad Max game back in mid-2013. While the game development is the usual ‘work-in-progress’ mode, Avalanche has unleashed some gorgeous screenshots and artwork of the upcoming title.

Mad Max is going to be one heck of an open-world adventure for it features the heavily modded iconic 1974 Ford Falcon XB sedan and 50 other vehicles that one can drive. Of course, the game will let you mod the vehicles in-game by upgrading it from ground up to adding weaponry. Read more »
