Now Axis Bank users in India can send someone money over WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, email, or even SMS. All you need to do is download the new PingPay app.
The app is made in partnership with Fastacash, that enables transferring money over social networks.
A few weeks after it was revealed that Facebook’s Internet.org has benefited over 800 million people in nine countries, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the service, which was recently launched in the African country of Malawi, is now available to over 1 billion people around the world.
“Giving people free access is the right thing to do,” Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post. “We will keep connecting more people and more countries, and we won’t stop until every person in the world can connect to the internet.”
Live video streaming app Meerkat, which debuted on Google Play earlier this month, is now out of Beta. The company made the announcement via a tweet.
Similar to its iOS counterpart, which has got a lot of coverage recently, the Android version of Meerkat also allows you to stream live video from your smartphone to all of your Twitter followers at once.
A couple of weeks ago, there were reports of Asus CEO Jerry Shen saying that the ZenWatch successor – tipped to be called the ZenWatch 2 – won’t hit the market until 2016. However, he has now confirmed that the smartwatch will hit stores in the third quarter of this year as planned earlier, according to a new report out of Taiwan.

Following the footsteps of AT&T and T-Mobile, the remaining two of the Big Four US carriers – Verizon and Sprint – have also agreed to settle cramming allegations with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The two carriers will pay a total of $158 million, of which $90 million will come from Verizon while the remaining will come from Sprint. At-least $70 million of the Verizon’s fine and $50 million of the Sprint’s will be used in customer refund programs, $4 million and $6 million, respectively, will go to the US treasury, while the remaining will go the state governments.
