The Google Play edition HTC One (M8) is no longer available to order from the search giant’s online store. The handset was quietly removed from Google Play.

The much leaked Web interface for WhatsApp is now live. As you may have imagined, this allows you to use your computer to send and receive WhatsApp messages. But, true to this app’s very obvious “mobile first” mantra, the Web client is acting simply as an extension of your phone.
Thus, all the messages still actually live on your handset, they’re just shown to you on the Web as well. So your phone needs to be connected to the Internet while you’re using WhatsApp Web on your computer, keep that in mind.
The last thing Microsoft had to present to the world today has to do with augmented reality. Following a growing trend in the tech world, the company has announced its own entry into the VR headset space, which is called HoloLens. And it comes with some additional features compared to its competitors.
The HoloLens, which you can see above, has see-through holographic lenses that superimpose “holograms” onto the world that’s actually around you, combining the physical with the digital.

The cloud-based Cortana assistant is officially going to be part of Windows 10 on the PC. It is now more intelligent and useful than ever. During today’s Microsoft Windows 10 event the assistant software was showcased in all its glory, working on a Desktop machine.
Cortana will not only be available on your computer, but she has gotten a whole lot better than on your phone. The software has undergone a major upgrade and is now specifically tailored for a full PC experience.
Windows 10 is taking a step back and forward – the Start menu is back, but unlike the classic menu this one has Live tiles in it. For those who enjoyed the full-screen mode, it’s still on board and is the default for tablet mode.
That’s right, Windows 10 will power both phones as well as tablets and convertibles.
At its Windows 10-related “briefing” today, Microsoft has just announced some very good news for those of you who are running an older version of its desktop OS – be that Windows 8.1, or even Windows 7, believe it or not.
Namely, the software giant has revealed that for one year after the official launch of Windows 10, you’ll be able to upgrade to the new version for free.
You can now buy a SIM card dedicated exclusively to chatting on WhatsApp in one of 150 countries. It’s called WhatSim and will automatically switch between a total of 400 carriers.
For a €10 a year fee text messages are free, while photo, video and voice messages are priced on a credit system.
Companies’ earnings reports are rarely exciting, but cord-cutters are probably keeping a close eye on Netflix. They’ll be glad to hear that the company is continuing to defy the cable TV model by beating the expectations of Wall Street both in earnings and user base growth.

What you see above is a rare analog watch that was never actually sold. The original Apple Watch (or rather the Apple Logo watch, as Apple called it) was actually a free gift that was given away to buyers of the Macintosh System 7.5 operating system. In fact, it was one of the two gifts, with the other being Conflict Catcher 3 software, and the customers had to choose between them.
Ride-sharing startup Lyft, whose cars are identified by a large pink moustache attached to the front, is getting rid of its signature Carstache, and replacing it with the Glowstache – a much smaller, plastic mustache (about the size of a banana), that glows during night, and is designed to float on Lyft drivers’ dashboards using magnets.
“It was this big giant fuzzy thing,” said Lyft President John Zimmer, referring to the Carstache. “If you were going to an important business meeting, it might not be the best way to roll up.”
Media streaming service Plex has released their popular app for the PlayStation platform (PS4 and PS3) in North and South America. The app was previously launched on the platform in December but only available in Europe until now.
Plex is a local streaming service that streams local content from the Plex media server on your computer to the Plex app running on your mobile device, game console, smart tv, or something like the Chromecast or Apple TV.
In an effort to clamp down on false news appearing in your News Feed, Facebook is rolling out a new feature that’ll allow you to flag scams or false stories as hoaxes, although the company is stopping short of removing such posts, and has made it clear that it will not be reviewing content and making a determination on its accuracy.
To report a story as false, all you’ve to do is to select the relevant option (see image above) from a list that appears when you choose to hide the story. If too many people flag a post as false or choose to delete it, it will get reduced distribution in News Feed, the company says, adding that posts that receive lots of reports will be annotated with a warning that many others on Facebook have reported it.
