Warner Bros has announced the release date of Batman: Arkham Origins to be October 25. The newest entry will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC and for the first time on Android and iOS platforms.

One of the most fun category of games on the mobile platform is endless runners. While these may be deemed too simple on consoles or on the PC, their minimal control system makes them ideal for the touchscreen-based devices, not to mention they have proven to be enormously addictive and great for quick playthroughs when you have some time to spare.

Some great examples would be the many variations of Temple Run, Canabalt, Jetpack Joyride and several other games inspired from these. Today we will be looking at one called Headless that literally takes the saying ‘running around like a headless chicken’ and makes an endless running game out of it. The Google Search mobile app is a powerful tool and now the company has made it even better by adding a tip calculator to its laundry list of features.

The tip calculator can be initiated by either a voice command or typing for example “What’s the tip for X dollars” and a special interface will pop up prompting you to fill in the details of the order. In order for Google to return you the exact tip amount, you’ll have to input the total bill, adjust the tip percentage and split the check among the people you’re out with. Read more »

Google teased its latest Android release, version 4.4 KitKat, a month ago. The upcoming version of Android OS is expected to be available this month alongside the upcoming Nexus 5 and as we are nearing the official announcement, the leaks are picking up intensity.

The Google Maps app on Android OS has got a pretty decent update. It includes new notifications that now utilize the expandable interface. Now you can see your next turn, estimated time of arrival, and remaining distance to destination without having to open the app itself.

Dropcam has officially announced its new streaming camera device, dubbed Pro. Dropcam Pro is said to be brighter than before and the newest spy cam comes with superior hardware than its predecessor.

Sony launched the Xperia Z1 Mini (Z1 f) exclusively on the NTT DoCoMo network in Japan yesterday and its Snapdragon 800 chipset with quad-core Krait 400 CPU makes us feel all fizzy inside.

With such specs, the Z1 Mini seems to be a result of our quest for a high-end compact Android smartphone, which we started a while ago. It seems Sony has listened and we’re now going to see just how fast the Xperia Z1 Mini really is thanks to some benchmark results that have surfaced today.

The Acer Liquid E2 also known by its V370 alias has come to our office sporting a very respectable spec sheet for a very reasonable price. It has an 8 MP camera on the back, quad-core CPU with four Cortex-A7 cores, 1 GB of RAM and a 4.5″ display of qHD (960 x 540) resolution.

All of that is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and we decided to check out just how much juice the Acer Liquid E2 has before it goes under and to do that we put it through our rigorous mix of calling, browsing and watching video, coupled with an overnight stand-by to determine what sort of endurance rating the Liquid E2 has. Twitter announced the official availability of a tablet-optimized app for Android. The highly-anticipated app will be exclusively available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) for the time being. It will make it to other tablets by the end of the year.
