Google toying with cards-style YouTube Mobile browser UI

If there’s one thing that persisted from Palm’s Web OS, it’s the “cards” feature that was so highly touted, and praised, from the now dead operating system.

Well anyone with an Android phone, that is. Motorola’s Droid Zap application used to be a Moto phone exclusive.

Qualcomm launches Glance beta, an app that replaces your lock screen

Qualcomm has released a new application named Snapdragon Glance, which is essentially an intelligent lock screen app that lets you to access a wide range of information very quickly.

Currently in Beta stage, Snapdragon Glance will allow you to view all the important notifications, see when your next appointment is, and check the weather forecast. You can also launch applications and contact people from your smartphone’s lock screen. Read more »

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has made it to our office. It’s very slim, with the familiar faux-leather plastic on its back and packing an amazing 8.4″ display with 1600×2560 pixel resolution.

New Samsung S Voice app stars in an extended screenshot session

A new batch of leaked screenshots of the redesigned S Voice app has hit the web following earlier leak that initially hinted at upcoming changes. The new screenshots confirm Samsung is taking a new approach to the design of its TouchWiz UI and proprietary apps, of which S Voice is a major part.

In the latest version of Samsung’s personal virtual assistant, the company has entirely redesigned the app’s user interface. Well now a preview has surfaced, garnished with a bunch of images and it says that the app’s voice detection is noticeably faster, but not as good as Google Now. Read more »
