Now anyone can use Droid Zap

Well anyone with an Android phone, that is. Motorola’s Droid Zap application used to be a Moto phone exclusive.

The problem was that it greatly restricted the number of users who could zap photos to anyone in a 1,000 foot radius. But not anymore.

As long as you have an Android phone you can install the application and get to sharing photos with people in your immediate vicinity. This is a cool application for people who are gathered together at concerts. Stuck in the back-row? Well you can get a cool shot of the guitarist busting out a sweet solo up close and personal from someone who camped out hours ahead of you.

Moto phone users still enjoy a little more, however. Zap Zone is still exclusive to Motorola phones, which allows you to send videos and pretty much any other file to anyone in your area.

Does anybody here use the Droid Zap app, or plans on installing it now that Motorola has opened it up for other devices?
