Verizon will start offering the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition slate soon. A leaked official picture, courtesy of @evleaks, show the black version with embedded Verizon and its 4G LTE logos on the faux-leather plastic back.

Flappy Bird gathered insane interest over the past few days. Initially developed in 2013, Flappy Bird has become one of the most popular titles in both Android Play Store and Apple App Store, generating millions of downloads. Its creator – Dong Nguyen – even promised Windows Phone port is coming too.

Jolla has launched two new Other Half covers for the recently released Jolla smartphone. They are called Keira Black and Aloe. Until now there were no Halves beyond those coming in your retail box by default.

Samsung has cut the retail price of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. The gadget was launched back in September and even though it’s the best spec’d wearable on the market, Galaxy Gear remained rather unpopular because of its hefty price tag.
Samsung has released Galaxy Gear worldwide and it was priced at $300 for the USA, €300 in Europe and Rs. 22,290 ($356) in India. Those prices were rather steep indeed, but that’s about to change now. Read more »
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo shares lots of common features with the original Note 3 model, but is powered by a brand new hexa-core Exynos 5260 chipset with two Cortex-A15 @ 1.7GHz and four Cortex-A7 @ 1.3GHz cores. We have never met this chipset and we were really curious about its battery management. We also wondered if the lower resolution will help the Neo outlast its bigger brother, given that batteries are almost equally matched – 3,100 mAh for the Neo vs 3,200 mAh for the original Galaxy Note 3

Microsoft seems to have really bad luck with its SkyDrive cloud service. First a UK court ruled out Microsoft is infringing British Sky Broadcasting Group trademark last summer and Microsoft has agreed to change the name.
Just two days ago Microsoft announced the new name of the service – SkyDrive was re-branded to OneDrive. And as of today Microsoft is in trouble once again for the same reason. Read more »
Samsung has chosen Carphone Warehouse as a “preferred partner” for Europe. The retailer will collaborate with Samsung to open and manage over 60 dedicated stores of the Korean company.
Carphone Warehouse is already managing the three pilot stores and it seems Samsung is happy with the results and has decided on an aggressive expansion. Read more »
Samsung has confirmed the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 has issues with third-party accessories. The most common non-Samsung accessory used on the Note 3 is the S-View knock-off cases, which stopped working after the firmware upgrade.

Microsoft has renamed its cloud storage service from SkyDrive to OneDrive. This was expected after a UK court found Microsoft infringing British Sky Broadcasting Group trademark last summer.
Microsoft says it chose the OneDrive name because the cloud storage should be the one place where you store all of your pictures, videos, documents and files. Read more »
Microsoft has acquired the Gears of War franchise from Epic Games (Unreal Engines, Unreal series, Gears of War series, Infinity Blade series) for an undisclosed amount.
Now that the series is owned by Microsoft, the software giant has assigned the young Black Tusk studio to develop the next generation Gears of War game. Naturally it will be an Xbox One exclusive. Read more »
Nokia’s latest commercial is yet again advertising the awesome 41MP PureView camera of Lumia 1020. This time around Nokia is trying to convince you the Lumia 1020 is a great replacement for your DSLR.
Recently, with the Lumia Black firmware update, the Lumia 1020 camera algorithm was rewritten to behave like it did on the first PureView phone – the Nokia 808. The result is more natural colors, less noise and more detail. Read more »
Nokia’s Android prototype codenamed Normandy has leaked numerous times before in live pictures, officialrenders, detailed specs and more. We pretty much know everything there is to know about the Normandy but one – will it ever go official.
One of the recent leaks gave us a glimpse of Nokia’s proprietary Android launcher. The guys over TechRadar made a concept video of the interface based on those leaked screenshots. It looks really nice and is definitely a breath of fresh air among the competition. The Metro-like parts of the UI may not be everybody’s cup of tea though. Read more »
