The Yoga 2 Pro ups the ante with a 13.3″ touchscreen of 3200 x 1800 (previously 1600 x 900) resolution resulting in an insane 276 ppi. The slate also runs on the fourth-gen Intel Core i7 Haswell processor and promises a battery life up to 9 hours. Read more »
Fellow tech journalists have obtained a working unit DSC-QX10 we can see a lot of photos comparing the accessory-slash-standalone-camera with a number of top tier smartphone cameras and some high-quality dedicated shooters.
The lens style camera has a high resolution of 18.2 MP and some 10x optical zoom, a built-in battery and a memory card slot.Still, as the preview confirms, in terms of image quality, it’s not much better than a 13MP high-end smartphone. Read more »
A video has leaked just before the Sony Xperia Z1 (previously Honami) goes official at IFA 2013 (Sony’s event is under way as I type this).

Moments before the ASUS IFA 2013 event kicks off, we get a little tasty treat in the form of a promo video, ASUS posted itself on YouTube. The video’s main focus is the precision-crafted ultrabook Zenbook UX301 and all its mouth-watering features.
The ultrabook will sport a 2560 x 1440 resolution atop that 13.3″ screen, which results in a really nice 220 ppi. Not only that, but the panel will be touch-enabled, which will play nicely with the touch-optimized Windows 8 that sits at the helm. Read more »

In a bid to increase the hype over its upcoming camera-centric smartphone, Oppo has posted an image of the camera module, which should appear in the Oppo N1.
The module could feature a Sony CMOS sensor with optical image stabilization. There’s also talk of two camera versions – a 12 MP one with 10x optical zoom and a 15x optical zoom 16 MP one, but that seems rather far-fetched – 12MP with no optical zoom as initially rumored is what we’ll probably get. National Geographic’s awarded photographer Stephen Alvarez was given two Nokia Lumia 1020s as his only cameras on a trip to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and the Colorado River. The results are more than worthy, especially when you fathom they were taken with a smartphone camera.

This one isn’t for the faint of heart, people. You are about get to witness the Motorola Moto X being keyed, knifed and hammered on its front, back and sides in order to test out the durability of that plastic body, tapered edges and Gorilla Glass display.

Part of Motorola’s Moto X X8 chipset is the always-listening core that activates the phone and Google Now with the magic words “Okay Google Now”. That little neat trick made geeky smartphone-loving hearts everywhere skip a beat and many wanted to get the feature for their not-Moto X Android smartphone.

Twitter is a buzzing social network of which conversations have always been an integral part but up until now were rather hard to follow – you’d need to dig through people’s profiles in order to see what’s going on.
However now Twitter is rolling out an update on its website as well as on Android and iOS clients, which puts conversations into focus. You’ll get up to three replies to a tweet displayed and there’s a new tap to see all replies thread link. Read more »

Aside from the regular Chrome web browser Google supplies a Beta for eager users, wishing to check out the latest developments before they come to the battle-tested app.
Said Chrome Beta app, has received an update, which brings along new gestures, which work more intuitively than before, aiming to reduce accidental tab switching while panning and scrolling around pages. After Nokia rolled out the Amber update, adding the Pro Camera app on the higher-end Lumias (920, 925 and 928) some Lumia 920 owners are reporting on Reddit that their phones have an unusual yellow hue on their images.
The reportedly hue appears when taking pictures with the Nokia Pro Camera and not the regular one. Read more »
