You can now upload eBooks to Play Books from your smartphone

In its latest update to Play Books, Google added some enhancements to speed and smoothness but by far the most important gain is the option to upload from your Android device.

Now instead of using the Play website to add books to your account you can do it straight from your smartphone. Play Books supports ePub and PDF files and you can upload to Google Play books from any Android file manager.

If you have eBook files on your storage or you’ve downloaded them from another source you can upload them to your Play Books account with just a couple of taps.

The only issue is the relatively low Play Books availability, especially compared to Apple’s iBooks – let’s hope Google expands the country list soon.

Anyway, you can get the app from the Play Store on your smartphone or through here.
