Nikon unveiled today an updated version of its D7100 prosumer DSLR. The new D7200 model carries improvements in several areas, among them increased buffer size and a bump in low-light sensitivity.
The D7200 comes with a different 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, compared to the predecessor’s 24.1MP. That is likely the Sony made unit featured in other models of the company, which would explain the marginal difference in resolution over the Toshiba imager in the D7100. Read more »
There is little doubt about the fact that iPhone have had some of the best mobile phone cameras for a while now, and that the iPhone 6 is easily the best camera Apple ever put on a phone. The iPhone camera is also one of the most popular, being the number one camera on Flickr (and this includes phones and proper cameras) for several years now.

Sony announced the new Xperia Z4 Tablet and the Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone. The Z4 Tablet is the company’s latest flagship tablet while the M4 Aqua is more of a mid-range offering.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 10.1-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB memory, stereo speakers, 8 megapixel camera, and digital noise cancelling. It’s also IP68 certified, making it waterproof and dust resistant. Sony also made a Bluetooth keyboard for it to be used as a notebook. Read more »

Blackberry has announced that a new version of their popular messenger app is coming for both Android and iOS shortly. The new build will bring a lot of interesting features and make for an improved experience, tailored to use product-specific features, such as Apple’s Touch Id and the Android Wear platform.
Some of the more interesting additions to the app include a new Custom PIN feature. Users will be able to purchase a custom 6-8 character alpha-numeric pin form the BBM store for $1.99 a month. Another new opt-in payment option is the removal of advertisements from the messenger feed, which will set you back an additional $0.99 a month. Samsung introduced a new version of the Oculus-powered Gear VR Innovator Edition headset. The new Gear VR is compatible with the newly announced Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge and is 15% smaller.
The Galaxy VR Innovator Edition with Oculus technology is already available for purchase globally for $199. The headset is compatible only with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet, but Samsung and Oculus will be launching a Galaxy S6-compatible edition as well. Read more »
