HP Slate 7 announced, runs Android Jelly Bean at a temptingly low price of $169.99

HP has launched its first Android-based tablet, the HP Slate 7. The HP Slate 7 will be priced at a very competitive $169.99 and will go on sale in April.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Slate 7 has a 7.0-inch, 1,024 x 600 resolution FFS+ LCD, 1.6GHz, dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/b, Bluetooth 2.1, 3 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, stereo speakers and Beats Audio. Huawei just announced their Ascend P2 with the fastest LTE speed seen on a smartphone. The device sports a 4.7″ 720p screen, quad-core K3V2 processor, 13 MP camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and more.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 makes a real-life public appearance at the MWC

Samsung seems all set to extend its tally of tablets with the Galaxy Note 8.0. A big ad of the 8″ slate was already spotted at the MWC grounds in Barcelona, but the device was now spotted publicly ahead of the announcement.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 was caught on camera near the entrance of the Mobile World Congress venue, while a group of Samsung PR girls were busy showing off the tablet in a photo-shoot. Read more »

We are no strangers to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. Although the product is yet to be officially announced, we have heard about it and even seen it a few times in the past.

The tablet was rumored to be unveiled officially at the Mobile World Congress this year. The rumors, it seems, were true, as was noticed by one of the show goers, who managed to snag a picture of the tablet at Samsung’s booth prior to official announcement. Read more »

In addition to its earlier teaser hinting at an upcoming device under the Infinity series, ASUS has now launched an even cooler-looking video portraying an alien invasion of Barcelona, Spain.

LG’s MWC 2013 trailer promises unlimited possibilities at the end of this month

LG released its trailer for Mobile World Congress 2013. The short clip mixes several key words such as “stylish”, “premium”, “creative”, “speedy”, “powerful”, as well as “professional”, and ends with the promise of “unlimited possibilities” at the end of this month.

Naturally, LG won’t specify what the hype is all about. Recent events however, point at two products which are more than likely to make an official appearance. Read more »
