HTC has outed a Rapid Charger 2.0 travel charger, which supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology. It allows you to charge up your HTC smartphone 40% faster than the standard chargers that are included in the retail package.

The 15W Rapid Charger 2.0 accelerates the battery charging of the HTC One (M8), HTC One remix, HTC One (E8), and the HTC Desire Eye. Theoretically, the charger should work with other brand smartphones, which are compatible with Qualcomm’s charging technology. Read more »

Fitbit has announced three new fitness bands to replace its current Fitbit Force. The new range includes the Fitbit Charge, Charge HR, and the Surge.

The Fitbit Charge is the base model and is priced at $129 and tracks basic information, such as steps taken, distance travelled, sleeping pattern, etc. It features an improved design that is less irritating on the skin than the Force. The device pairs with your smartphone and syncs the information with the Fitbit app, and also shows caller information on the OLED display. The Charge has a battery life of 7 days. Read more »

OnePlus has announced a partnership with audio company JBL resulting in one of the first official earphones for the One the JBL E1+. The earphones sports a premium 9mm JBL drivers as well as the company’s PureBass technology.

The result is a dynamic sound with high frequency response and “massive bass”. The cable of the JBL E1+ earphones is flat and tangle-resistant. Done in OnePlus Red, the company says the look of the earphones perfectly compliments the Sandstone Black cover of the One. Read more »

iPhone 6 accessory sales hit $249 million in a fortnight

According to analyst company NPD Group, Apple isn’t the only one reaping the benefits of surging iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales. The report states that iPhone 6 accessory makers have made a total of $249 million over the last two weeks.

That’s 43% increase compared to the first two weeks after the iPhone 6 launch, and it’s hardly surprising. The iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s managed to accumulate $195 million of revenue for the same period with just a 17% spike for the second fortnight since launch. Read more »

Logitech’s protection [+] power for Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5/5s does what it says on the label

Logitech has unveiled a rugged, MIL-STD rated battery case with versions for both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the old Apple iPhone 5 and 5s. The case is appropriately named “protection [+] power” and comes in Gray/Black and White/Blue.

A MIL-STD-810G rating does not include water resistance but it means the device can survive drops on hard concrete from 1.2 meters. Read more »
