After taking the arcade racing genre by storm with the original Need for Speed Most Wanted back in 2005, EA rebooted the series this year and put the steering wheel in the able hands of Criterion Games, makers of the popular Burnout games as well as Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
This time, however, the action won’t be limited to the big screen. A mobile version of the game has been released for iOS and Android and although it’s not exactly the same game as the console version, you will find similar races, cop chases and a great roster of cars in what promises to be one of the best racing games on the mobile platform. We put our seat belts on and decided to take it for a test drive. Read more »

The LG Optimus G is the first phone with the monster Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset that we’ve reviewed, so we’re very curios to see how battery efficient it is. Four powerful cores can be a blessing (get the job done quicker, go to sleep quicker) or a curse (burn more energy, even if the job takes less time than on slower cores).
So, which is it? The battery has 2100mAh capacity, which is exactly as much as the Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X+ have, so the Optimus G can’t rely on that to gain advantage. Read more »

The original Carmageddon was a vehicular combat game that was released in 1997 and later ported to other platforms. Because of the violence in the game, which was too much for a game at that time, it was either heavily censored or banned in several countries around the world.
The game has now been ported over to mobile, with the iOS version out now on the App Store and an Android version supposedly in the works. We decided to take a look and see how it fares fifteen years after it originally came out. Read more »

HTC Dual-SIM Android smartphones aren’t something we come by every day, so when the HTC Desire V came by our office, we were eager to test how it’ll fare in our battery test. Especially since its main selling point is the ability to facilitate two SIM cards.
The HTC Desire V gets its juice from a standard for its kind 1650mAh Li-Ion battery, so you shouldn’t expect it to run circles around the heavyweight champions like the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the Motorola RAZR MAXX HD. Read more »
