You can get the 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G Apple iPad for $530, which is good $200, cheaper than its previous price. The 16GB 3G-enabled version is also discounted at $430.

Angry Birds go 3D and highly amusing at the SXSW, check it out on video

Hold your horses – it’s not a 3D version of the insanely popular game just yet. What we have here is a 3D promo video that Rovio developed in collaboration with Nokia. However it is nicely done and pretty funny so you won’t regret sparing some time to check it out.

The spectacle happened at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas and it shows what happens when those pesky green pigs steal an N8 from the birds’ nest. You guessed that right – the birds get angrier then ever.

HTC Incredible S lands at the office, the hands-on video is waiting for you

The Android army got another wave of new reinforcements over the past few months and we are now welcoming one of the best-prepared among them to our office. The HTC Incredible S is the certainly the most exciting of the five smartphones announcements by the Taiwanese at the MWC. It wasn’t lucky enough to get the Gingerbread treatment, but Froyo isn’t too bad either and you get the most powerful hardware.

Plus the HTC Incredible S adds a welcome diversity to the company’s designs portfolio. We were getting somewhat bored with the HTC smartphones designs recently, so the edgy back comes as a breath of fresh air. Read more »

Google Mobile app for iPhone is now Google Search app, gets a much cooler UI [VIDEO]

Google has just updated their Mobile App for iOS devices. What was initially meant to be your one-click portal to all of Google services has now been downgraded to a mere Search app. By reducing its focus the Google dev team has managed to make the iOS Search app much nicer to use.

The improvements include a new toolbar that lets you filter your results. To toggle it on you can use one of the newly implemented swipe gestures (left or right) either before you search or once you’ve got your results. You can then select the required filter, like Images, Videos, Shopping etc.

IE9 scores 2.35 million downloads in the first 24 hours of its existence

Internet Explorer 9 launched the other day and it seems to be gaining popularity quite quickly. The latest version of the world’s most popular web browser scored some 2.35 million downloads in the first 24 hours of its existence alone, which is pretty impressive.

That makes over 27 download per second or nearly 100 000 downloads each hour. Read more »

Wi-Fi-only Motorola XOOM now official, can be yours on 27 March for $600

At this point the existence of a Wi-Fi-only version of the Motorola XOOM will hardly raise any eyebrows, it has leaked plenty of times. However the pricing and availability details that came with the official announcement are more than welcome.

Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for Motorola Xoom leaks, you can try it right now

Tired of waiting for that Flash Player for your Xoom? Well, you don’t have to any more as the app just leaked and you get it running on your device in a minute or so. From the looks of it, that a pre-release version of the app so some quirks are expected, but the good news is no root is required. You don’t even need to have applied that preliminary update Motorola posted last week.

All you need to do is enable installation of non-Market apps on your Xoom (found under Settings-> Applications) and get the .apk on board. You can then use a file manager to install it. Read more »

Apple iPad 2 benchmarks are out, swipes the floor with the first iPad and the Motorola Xoom

The iPad 2 news show no signs of slowing down on the third day of its launch (except perhaps its availability). The first proper benchmarks just came in and confirmed that the A5 chip is a pretty powerful beast indeed.

Anandtech has just put the Apple custom-designed chip through its paces and found it to be substantially more capable than its A4 predecessor and the Tegra 2 SoC inside the Motorola Xoom. Read more »

In the storm of iPad 2 info today, we also got word that some games got updates so they can make use of the the iPad 2 more powerful GPU and CPU. Real racing 2 HD, N.O.V.A 2, Infinity Blade, Zen Bound 2 and Star Wars Arcade: Falcon Gunner all got plenty of cool new effects that thanks to the improved processing power shouldn’t hurt performance.

The Apple iPad 2 gets dismantled by iFixIt, 512MB RAM confirmed [VIDEO]

The guys over at iFixit didn’t waste any time and tore an iPad 2 to pieces just a couple of hours after the thing went on sale. There weren’t many surprises to be found inside, but the 512MB of RAM got confirmed and the huge 25 Wh battery explains the impressive endurance of the iPad 2.
