It’s a story as old as time – tech time that is. At first when Samsung bashed Apple in ad form it was amusing to some and not so much to others and now it’s just par for the course with big company rivalries.
The latest Samsung ad is nothing new really – an iPhone user that’s oblivious and insecure and a Samsung Galaxy S5 user that is upbeat because his phone has a big screen, which evidently is what the first guy is dying to have added in the next iPhone.
Even though Apple fans that lust for a big screen iPhone 6 may get what they want soon, soon means September 19 and Samsung thinks it has it all with the current Galaxy S5.
Samsung has shown more than once that it isn’t afraid of going public with its trash-talk against Apple and others. The bigger screen has always been a favorite topic and so is the Next Big Thing series. The Apple iPad, Amazon Kindle and Microsoft Surface have also felt the burn and the same goes for Apple’s Maps. Heck Samsung even dared use the S word in a teaser a couple of years ago.
Apple looked to play it cool and not respond for awhile but finally broke down after the Galaxy S4 and released with the there’s iPhone campaign. Recently the company released a printed ad that targeted copying from other companies, although Apple probably shouldn’t really bring up that subject.
