After getting the review treatment the Lenovo S90 Sisley is now entering our detailed battery life test overview so that we can compare it to some of its rivals and see what’s what.
We liked a lot about the Sisley in our review like the great design, the good Super AMOLED panel, capable Vibe UI v.2 software and the camera among other things but the battery life was only average.
In the lull before the storm, which MWC is shaping up to be, new announcements are few and far between. Finishing touches must be made and with the deadline nearing, sleepless nights are in order for designers and engineers.
For us users though, the wait is always too long and we need to entertain ourselves somehow in the meantime. One way to do that is to throw a bunch of future flagships in a fight for the imaginary title of “Most exciting upcoming phone”.

One very interesting device made it to our office this week – the €180-worth Asus Fonepad 7 FE375CXG. It’s a nice hybrid between a slate and a smartphone with powerful hardware, a big 7″ display and dual-SIM telephony.

The Memo Pad 7 also features an attractive design with a textured back, a clean glass front and stereo speakers on the top and bottom (or the sides in landscape mode).
A number of interesting devices were unveiled in the last week of January and now you’ve had a whole week to vote to cast your favorite. The devices are concentrated around the mid-range and come from a varied selection of makers – Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Asus, ZTE and Meizu.

At a meeting with investors in New York City, Corning announced that its is working on a scratch-resistant glass that can rival sapphire. Conspicuously named Project Phire, the material will become available to manufacturers later this year.

The Chinese chipmaker Allwinner took the wraps off a 64-bit tablet-friendly chipset with incredibly low price tag. Allwinner A64 brings 4K display support to mobile devices for only $5.
The chipset consists of four Cortex-A53 CPU cores, coupled with support for various DDR memory types.
After having introduced us to a few new smartphone lines (A, E, and J so far), Samsung is apparently looking to use some new brands for its upcoming tablets too. According to a new rumor, we’ll soon see the Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus lines on the market.
Though if you were expecting some high-end beasts, we’re sorry to disappoint. These will allegedly be nothing more than midrange offerings, perhaps meant to succeed the Galaxy Tab 4 line (of which the 10.1-inch tablet is pictured above). That said, the new devices will boast some intriguing features nevertheless.
While we’ve had an endless marathon of reports surrounding Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S6, as well as its all but confirmed curved variant, the Galaxy S Edge, detailing information such as specs, features, price, as well as the colour options. We even had one for the name courtesy of Vodafone, but now we learn it might not have been entirely accurate.
The South Korean company has got the names ‘GALAXY S6′ and ‘S6 edge’ trademarked in South Korea (see image above) a few days ago, something which was first noticed by our friends at GalaxyClub.
While reporting its Q4 earnings, Twitter revealed that it added 4 million new monthly active users (MAUs) in the quarter, bringing the total number to 288 million, which was clearly short of the 292 million figure expected by analysts. But Twitter is not to blame for that, or so say its executives, who are claiming that the company lost 4 million users due to Apple’s roll-out of iOS 8.
The company says that it lost 3 million of those users after Apple rolled out iOS8, effectively changing the way the Shared Links feature in the Safari web browser works.
The official Android account on YouTube posted a video titled “Android: Friends Furever.” The misspelling is intentional – the video is a compilation unlikely animal friendships. A monkey and a dog, cat and ducklings, an elephant and a sheep, let’s just say the video causes a cuteness overload.

Samsung has set a new world record for the highest number of selfies taken in 24 hours. Following the launch of it’s Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 handsets in the South African cities of Johannesburg and Cape Town, the South Korean company invited people to use the two devices and take selfies.
A total of 12,803 selfies were taken with the company’s Galaxy A series devices, which was 3,000 more than the previous record.
